Im off topic..a wee bit..i am speaking of heritage. what you were talking about..off topic. was babble. DO you accept the Confederate constitutions and pro slavery speeches as your heritage as Trump does? or do you accept it as part of a treasonous rebellion that was rightly put down.

There are only 2 answers to the question of who was right..

Lincoln..or Davis.

If its Davis..please list his qualities that would have been passed down that would have the best effect for you today.

It is all part of our great heritage. It got us to where we are today, a place where people from all over the world want to come (even with Donald Trump as President).

Trump Refers to Confederacy as “Our Great Heritage”

Many politicians argue that statues honoring Confederate leaders should be left up because the Confederacy is a part of American of history whether we like it or not. Fewer politicians argue that they should be left up because the Confederacy was a great idea that still deserves our respect. Very few politicians make that argument despite not even being from the South to begin with. But one of them is the president:

Our Great Heritage

The Cornerstone Speech, also known as the Cornerstone Address, was an oration delivered by Confederate Vice President Alexander Stephens at the Athenaeum in SavannahGeorgia, on March 21, 1861.

The Cornerstone Speech became so known for Stephens's declaration that the perpetuation of slavery was the principal goal and purpose of the secession and the Confederacy:

Our new government is founded upon exactly [this] idea; its foundations are laid, its corner- stone rests upon the great truth, that the negro is not equal to the white man; that slavery -- subordination to the superior race -- is his natural and normal condition. This, our new government, is the first, in the history of the world, based upon this great physical, philosophical, and moral truth.

Is it just me or does the Cornerstone Speech sound like the core idealism behind Nazism?

No, it isn't just you. White supremacy is one of the tenets of Nazism, always has been, always will be. The sad thing is that so many in America embrace it.

More anti-Americanism from the hate cult. Yes, there are White Supremacists and yes there are Black Separatists and, in toto, they represent a very, very small part of our population.

We have been around a long time and hopefully will be around many more years. All this hatred for America just because of one lost election is pathetic.

Maybe the "scream day" will get some of the poison out of your minds.

hatred of America? lol..I AM a Yankee thru and thru. Mayflower decendant, Son of a DAR member, progeny of Frontiersmen North of the Ohio, settled in Michigan Territory. Ancestors in every war.. Revoluton, 1812, graves of the Union soldiers in my family populate the local cemetary, great grand dad that spent a career with Pershing..chasing pancho Villa, leading his Men Over the Top in France, WWII, medals and deaths, korea and viet nam. Not one it of MY heritage is in any way for that Heritage of slavery, the fight for liberty for all IS the history of my family. OUR heritage? YOURS maybe.

PS..that avatar isnt me..its General Sherman. It keeps those proslavery types at a distance.
