As you all know I have been posting for the last 2 years the US is on the same path as Germany was in the 1930. If you have watched TV you have seen the run up to Hitler taking over in Germany and you could take Hitler out and replace him with Trump as they are both going the same way. What you see now if Trump taking over all money matters by making Congress needless. If this stands and there is a chance it will Trump will have almost total control of all branches of Govt. Keep in mind Trump said yesterday he will loose in court till the supreme court where he will win. Read my posts on the deal reported between Trump and his last appointment. K has Trumps back and will vote to support him. That happened in the abortion case just heard by the court. CJ Robberts crossed over to vote with the liberal faction to save the court. K wrote the opinion backing Trump. Now Trump tells all he will win in the SC on this. See if both his appointees back him. If they do you know both agreed to the same deal. Lets hope I am wrong.

Trump’s fascist efforts to demolish democracy

Trump’s fascist efforts to demolish democracy

Fascist politics is once again on the rise in the United States, Europe and Latin America.

As an echo from the past, its principles and attitudes are re-emerging in a populist rhetoric that embraces extreme forms of nationalism, the cult of the leader, systemic racism, a culture of fear, a hatred of dissent and an utter disdain for the truth.

Driven by a hatred of “the other” and infused with narratives of decline and victimization, fascist politics trade in an incendiary rhetoric of fear, demonization and violence.

It creates divisions by targeting groups it defines as criminal, less than human, and then expands its hate-mongering to other groups as part of an attempt to deepen and expand a culture of terror, insecurity and disposablilty.

It attempts to build power through aggressive attacks on the media, critics and the judiciary.

Much more at:   Trump’s fascist efforts to demolish democracy

That is how Republicans MAGA.

Don't think that's a Great America?

Just one correction to your post. Do you remember about a year ago when one of our posters told us about Navy personal being sent on short term duty to build camps for the people crossing our border. The poster was a member of a group that cared for their dogs while they were on the short term assignment.

What came out on this is the following. The Navy was told to build camps to house 100,000 people on military basses. There are something like 12 or 13 in total. Two were near San Diego CA. They were built on military basses so no one could see them or have any control of them like State or Local Govt. They were paid for out of the military budget so you will never find them in a budget report. These Camps are now built and ready. They are not for children, and not being used for adults now. They could be used as Hitler used his camps at the start, and then upgraded if there are no protests from the public when they start to be used. Same path as Hitler used. Trump counts on people not knowing what he has done or is doing, and it is the full time job of his enablers to assist him in that effort.

What a horrible way to live - believing these ridiculous stories that float out every now and then. Some people never grow up and have to sleep with  a light on at night.

What I gave are true facts documented by the press at the National and local level, and people who new some of the people involved. The far right who do live a horrible life spending all their time trying to deflect every thing that the far right leadership does since it is always will hurt people. The experts tell us who makes up this group. The far right have been hurting and killing people for the last 300 years. Our country was founded by breaking away from a far right government so do not allow it to stay under a far right government again. Vote out Trump and all his backers.

No it wasn't. It was a collection of claims playing the "Hitler" game.

Fear not, you are not headed for Dachau.

I gave truth and facts and no one can change facts no matter how hard they try. Now we have come to that time again. You know the drill.

Whatever floats your boat. Sleep with the lights on if you have to. Or start your underground armed uprising or whatever that last comment means.

From the Daily Beast:

"President Trump on Friday afternoon tweeted, then deleted an outwardly hostile message calling various media outlets the people’s real enemy. 'The FAKE NEWS media,' he wrote, citing The New York Times, CNN, and NBC News, among others,'is not my enemy. It is the enemy of the American people. SICK!' The message was deleted shortly after its posting, but numerous users screengrabbed the tweet for posterity.

Several minutes later, the president re-posted the message, with slight tweakings: he added CBS and ABC to the roster of 'fake news' outlets, and removed the 'SICK!' from the back end."

ct finally got it right by using the word "fake".

Again, the placement of the quotation marks shows the post to be a fraud.

One Scholar On Similarities Between Trump And Hitler

RK's bogus argument is that everyone except the FOX propaganda network is "Fake News", so his hero is only talking about them. It is a flawed, pathetic argument. RK does what he always does, he tries to twist logic and the facts into an alternate spin version to protect his supreme leader in the White House.

Face it people, no other president in our history ever referred to the press as an enemy of the people. That is a huge threat to our democracy.

As usual, RK is dead wrong about hs idol and hero in the White House. The NY Times printed a tweet written by his hero.

@CriticalThinking wrote:

From the NY Times: Trump called the news media “the enemy of the American People.

RK: "NYT said it, the President didn't."

Yes, rk saw a tweet posted by the President (not some imaginary "hero"). It was posted by someone obviously not able to read what they post.

On the other hand, rk suspects that ct knows that he/she/it is in error as illustrated by where the quotation marks start.
