Not really. One one side the "fire" is words; on the other side it is bricks and blocking public access. I call your attention to Berkeley.

Granted, in the Charlottesville situation both sides came armed. Who was the aggressor and who was the defender is up for debate. But one side did have an announced and permitted demonstration planned.

And I have seen nothing about "ownership". Possibly you have quotes.

anyone that states friday night actions on UVA campus was permittied is telling a lie. Absolutely correct.  Friday nights march was not "permitted" and didn't have to be.....Anyone that says the permit was for anything other than preservation of the statue is telling a lie. Absolutely correct.  Did anyone see any signs protesting the moving of the statue, the stated purpose of the march?  You pay lip service about the antifa but you have no idea how it or its supporters work or what they stand for.  Again, absolutely correct.

So Rather Than Simply Attack the Poster - why don;t you enlighten us to who Antifa really is and what do they Stand For?

For those who might want a more unbiased approach & definition

Here Look For Yourself

Antifa

Wiki

1. Antifa is a far-left political movement of autonomous anti-fascist groups in the United States.[2][3] The term is loosely used with anti-racism, anti-sexism, anti-homophobia, as well as Anarchism and anti-capitalism.[4] They are known for militant protest tactics, including property damage and, sometimes, physical violence.[5][6][7][2]

According to The Economist, the "word Antifa has its roots in Anti-Fascist Action, a name taken up by European political movements in the 1930s" and which was revived in the 1980s, particularly in East Germany.[4] Peter Beinart writes that "In the late ’80s, left-wing punk fans in the United States began following suit, though they initially called their groups Anti-Racist Action, on the theory that Americans would be more familiar with fighting racism than fascism."

2. The origins of the American Antifa movement are "unknown",[2] although it does have predecessors in the militant movements in Antifaschistische Aktion formed in 1930s Germany, Anti-Fascist Action in Britain in the 1980s, and anti-fascist skinhead movements.[4][8][2] Groups forming in the United States, "initially called their groups Anti-Racist Action, on the theory that Americans would be more familiar with fighting racism than fascism."[8] In Minneapolis, Minnesota a group called the Baldies in 1987 formed a group with the intent to fight neo-Nazi groups.[4]

Antifa groups either form loose support networks, such as NYC Antifa, or operate independently

3. Antifa is composed of autonomous groups, not a formal organization.[8][10] Activists typically organize protests via social media and through websites and list-serves.[8][10]

According to Salon.com it is an organizing strategy, not a group of people,[11] and is commonly associated with a willingness to engage in a show of force.

Antifa groups have most notably protested the 2016 election of Donald Trump.[8][12][13] During the inauguration celebrations mask-wearing black bloc protestors "rage[d] across the area just outside" of the security perimeter, "smashing windows and burning cars."[14]

Antifa protesters participated in the 2017 Berkeley protests where they gained mainstream media attention, "thr[owing] Molotov cocktails and smash[ing] windows."[2][10]

Later, two Antifa groups threatened to disrupt the 2017 Portland Rose Festival parade after hearing that the Multnomah County Republican Party would participate. The parade organizers received an anonymous email, saying, "You have seen how much power we have downtown and that the police cannot stop us from shutting down roads so please consider your decision wisely". The email also said that 200 people would "rush into the parade" and "drag and push" those marching with the Republican Party. The two groups denied having anything to do with the email. The parade ended up being canceled by the organizers due to safety concerns.[15] Antifa participated against the far-right 2017 Unite the Right rally as counter protesters.[16]

Journalist Adele Stan interviewed an Antifa protester at the rally who said that the sticks carried by Antifa protesters are a justifiable countermeasure to the fact that "the right has a goon squad."[17]

Some Antifa participants at the Charlottesville rally chanted that counter-protesters should "punch a Nazi in the mouth."

I am sick and tired with any extremist group. I couldn't care less for their causes. So?

So, there is not one above the other, In this case the Neo Nazis went and really killed people, Non of that vilolence should be tolerated.  It isn't....several have been arrested.....the law works pretty good here.....the US isn't a Banana Republic.

But, there has to be some restrains  to all of these groups. They are too extreme to be around people  What do you suggest?

Seems the Antifa is looking at what happened the last time people ignored fascists and are determined not to let it happen again.  Alt-Right, fighting for your right to own your own person
