The difference is that whenever an Obama official needed to know the redacted names in a report, the information STAYED SECRET. With the Trumpettes and Der Trumper most of all, the names and classified infromation are used to brag about what a great job they're doing to their BFF, Tsar Vlad the Stumpy!

This is what infantile personalities do - they behave like spoiled chlidren. Trump's been doing it his entire life - jsut look at his campaign - and he'll never stop, so somebody else needs to stop him.

The new allegations against the former president and his administration stem from a once top secret information in a Wednesday report.

The administration admitted to the violations during a secret court hearing in October, just before Donald Trump was elected, but those documents were sealed until last month.
According to Cirica, the proceedings revealed concerns that the administration had been honest about its practices and had a 'very serious Fourth Amendment issue' on its hands.
Rice, a former national security advisor to Obama, has claimed that she did not unmask Trump associates for sport, and had followed the letter of the law with her unmasking requests. The ex-official has said she only asked the information when she needed it to understand the intelligence she had been presented.

Oh, so you ignored the info about Bush doing the same.  That's funny.  Presidents have been doing this ever since the NSA was created and after 9/11 in the name of Homeland Security.

  •  The Obama administration also upped the number of Americans it had unmasked in intelligence reports
  • Disclosures have renewed concerns among civil liberty groups that Americans' Fourth Amendment rights were routinely violated
  • Raises questions about the motivations that Obama aides like Susan Rice had when they requested the names of Americans whose identities were obscured
  • If Rice and others did it for political purposes, to hurt Donald Trump for instance, that would be an 'amazing abuse of power,' Sen. Rand Paul says

One of many links ... I wonder if the left wing media will report on this.

The "left wing media" tends to report only facts. Any time you see "If xxx had this motive" as the lead in a story, you know there aren't going to be many facts in it and it will be printed in a Conservative news outlit.  I doubt you will see this batch of speculation and innuendo.

Of course they will, just as much as Fox reported on this:

NSA SPYING ON AMERICANS IS ILLEGAL

What if it emerged that the President of the United States was flagrantly violating the Constitution and a law passed by the Congress to protect Americans against abuses by a super-secret spy agency? What if, instead of apologizing, he said, in essence, "I have the power to do that, because I say I can." That frightening scenario is exactly what we are now witnessing in the case of the warrantless NSA spying ordered by President Bush that was reported December 16, 2005 by the New York Times.

According to the Times, Bush signed a presidential order in 2002 allowing the National Security Agency to monitor without a warrant the international (and sometimes domestic) telephone calls and e-mail messages of hundreds or thousands of citizens and legal residents inside the United States.

The program eventually came to include some purely internal controls - but no requirement that warrants be obtained from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court as the 4th Amendment to the Constitution and the foreign intelligence surveillance laws require.

In other words, no independent review or judicial oversight.

That kind of surveillance is illegal. Period.

The day after this shocking abuse of power became public, President Bush admitted that he had authorized it, but argued that he had the authority to do so. But the law governing government eavesdropping on American citizens is well-established and crystal clear. President Bush's claim that he is not bound by that law is simply astounding. It is a Presidential power grab that poses a challenge in the deepest sense to the integrity of the American system of government - the separation of powers between the legislative and executive branches, the concept of checks and balances on executive power, the notion that the president is subject to the law like everyone else, and the general respect for the "rule of law" on which our democratic system depends.

Old news, Kid.
