If you say so.

So do you think you can get your god to make both Hillary and Trump tell the absolute whole truth from now until the election?

That would be a very good thing.

Let us know when it's going to happen so we can watch for it.

So - explain why god decided to allow - rather than prohibit - separation of church and state - wouldn't it be much better for there to be a supreme infallible national religion - so everyone would be behaving themselves - and incidentally being happy and wealthy?

Might even be an example for other nations...

Neither he, I, nor anyone who has a third grade education, believes that.

GOD-GIVEN RIGHTS
September 7, 2012

The 2012 Republican Convention taught me that I worship the same god as they:
It took 2,232 years, from Sunday, October 23, 4004BCE, the date Bishop James Ussher calculated for the birth of Earth, until Hammurabi's Code in 1772BCE, for there to be written law other than the Jews' Ten Commandments that include no human rights. The first attempt at creating rights for citizens came with the Magna Charta on June 15, 1215 in opposition to royalty.
Aſter many years of questioning, I finally have the identity of the god worship'd by the Republican Party. As they speak, the USA's Bill of Rights, ratified December 15, 1791, the first clearly defined code of human rights, amended to the Constitution of the United States of America, and god are synonymous! “God-given” and “Constitutional” rights are identical. Whew! Finally! Now I know.
It's a god that I worship with greater fervor than they as they're so hypocritical they don't care about the rights our god gives us. I do.

In Response to RE: Obama Quotes Declaration: Doesn’t Say Rights Come from Creator by NOTHAPPENING

I used to believe that a rational explanation and debate was the way to truth. I don't anymore.  The rational folk here won't face the facts.  Many of , not all, the folk who attack the president are racists, sexists, homophobes, and other ill isms. Some I can't  name because their perversions of reality are too tortuous for me to limn.

I sometimes feel that may be best for the Republicans as now constituted should regain the White House, senate, and House because another six or more years of pain is necessary for them to see the truth. Most Republican politicians have convinced many middle class and poor folk to vote against their own self interest.  I will not document what they can check for themselves.  Go to the Congressional Budget Office, check the other government economic departments for the facts. Trickle down does not work, never has.  What works trickle up.

One valid criticism that I have of President Obama's policies is the stimulus, two actually. One, it should have been more; two, it should have gone to the citizenry.  The latter is important.  I said in my tiny voice at the time, give middle class taxpayers 2 to 3 times what they paid in taxes the previous year and with the remainder give money to the poor who didn't pay any taxes.  Do not give the folk who made over 300 thousand a year anything in the stimulus.  Folk who make less than what the wealthy make have to spend the money. They have to pay tuition, pay mortgages, buy computers, cars, clothes, et cetera. They put the money back into the economy immediately and the money still goes to the banks.  Jobs are produced also as a result of their spending.  The stimulus done that way would save jobs and produce jobs. No, the president caved into opposition party, the Republicans, who said in the beginning that they were saying no to everything this president wanted. President Obama gave the money (so did Bush) to the banks and the wealthy.

May be necessary for that almost half of the electorate to suffer under Republican dominance of the political process to wake up to this fact, they vote for the wealthy while their fair share of the wealth through wages and actual wealth growth is lacking.  They vote against their own self interest. Some wealthy such as Gates, Soros, Bloomberg, and Buffett know this; yet the folk that they champion continue to vote for the lackeys of the super rich.

I would be for that suffering, save I'd suffer too.  I am peeved off that some of you add me to your suffering.  Are you mad? stupid? ignorant? Everything the left wants is not right, but some is right.

You let some conservative politicians tell you that a government run single payer health care is socialist.  Check political science: Services and businesses are not conservative, socialist, left, right, monarchal, fascist, or communist.  They are neutral.  Why when a government runs health care service it's socialist, but law enforcement service government run single payer is not.

Socialism is when the government, supposedly for the people, owns all businesses and services.  All governments no matter the ideology decide that certain services should be run by the government, the usual ones are military, judiciary, law enforcement, fire (local gov.except in public lands), diplomacy, health care, and some others more or less.

Ask any person on Medicare if some government bureaucrat in Washington DC sits and decides whether each individual procedure is covered. NO. They issue a book each year to consumers and providers saying what's covered.  What the President should have proposed is Medicare Plus for all based on Medicare but with added preventive care and lifestyle counseling., and research for best practices, and bonuses for primary physicians for helping patients lead healthier lives (obstetrics, General practice, pediatrics).  And no mandate that folk had to have insurance or be penalized; this bone to the private insurers which they liked.

The main downfall of President Obama was caused by his obsessive desire for bipartisanship in the beginning. He should have pressed for his  agenda - one that I edit up in ante - when he had the numbers and street cred.  The Republicans did not intend to help him govern.

When I hear, we have to take our country back, I really hear, we have to take our country back from that jig in the White House.  Be real, come clean, and man or woman up and say it.  You have freedom of speech. Say what's really in your racist brain.

In Response to HUGE gains were made by republicans just by saying NO.and doing NOTHING. Now Obama is getting the bl... by JANMB

Know what JANMB. If the GOP wins back Congress or part of it, you think the Dems are going to fall lock-step and agree to their "pledge?"

The "say NO to everything" and the "filibuster" game can be played by BOTH sides. If, and I'm saying, if, the GOP wins back the House, there will be plenty of Dems to say no. And if they win back the Senate, a lot less likely, the Dems will be filibustering everything they try. Biden will cast any tie-breaking votes ( remember Cheney pushing through the unpaid for "tax cuts") and Obama will be waiting with his veto pen.

By the time 2012 comes along, the responsibility for the direction of the country will be SHARED. The public will see what the GOP is trying to do. Just the way it happened in 94. Clinton won re-election, EASILY, over Dole.......

You going to return your Social Security money? You going to stop getting your Social Security? Are any right wing seniors? Of course not, cause, they were "forced" to pay into it. Easy to say when you are getting the benefits.

And without Medicare, how many of you old, feeble, cratchey, "achey breakey" sick seniors with TONS of "pre-existing conditions" do you think the insurance cartels would cover? Think they would be waiting outside your door with great insurance policies. The answer is: NONE of you would be covered. And they would try and scr*w you like they are doing to their "coverage for children" now...

It's easy to be "rough and tough" right wingnuts when you are REAPING the rewards of the SS and Medicare. If it was up to the GOP and the tea party clowns that are running, you wouldn't have those benefits.....As I've said, the HYPOCRISY is unreal.......

HUGE gains were made by republicans just by saying NO.

You are mistaken. Legislators that rule on laws governing this nation including commerce have made laws favorable to their pocket books!

and doing NOTHING.

Wrong Again. Both parties make laws that favor their interests.

Now Obama is getting the blame for their non-committal to HELP make the CHANGES. possible.

half truth--- these "CHANGES" are not not affordable nor are they advised or wanted by the majority of the public

Public is dumb but really

REALLY? I think people can be fooled and bamboozled but they're NOT DUMB! Sounds to me too much OBAMAISM is turning to OBAMAMANIA.

REALLY!

In Response to RE: Obama Quotes Declaration: Doesn’t Say Rights Come from Creator by Eleanore1946

“What's with the nitpicking this president's every word? …Pay attention to what the president says.” “I think a professor of Constitutional Law knows better than anyone how to quote the Constitution.”

You sound conflicted. I think more people are finally paying attention to what the president says.  Why does the president, when quoting the Declaration of Independence (not the Constitution), omit “by their Creator” as the source of our rights? It is reasonable to believe this was deliberate as he was reciting from his trusty teleprompter.

Perhaps he prefers to think that these rights are a gift from government rather than a restriction on government. Maybe he is uncomfortable saying “Creator” due to hyperactive political correctness syndrome. What ever the reason, we are curious why he left it out.

<If we stop government spending> “Who ends up with all that money if not Big Business cronies like Halliburton?”

So your point is we should not reduce government spending because otherwise (ooo-eee) Halliburton will get it? I don’t follow that logic. Many of us simply want the federal government to limit its spending to those functions defined by the Constitution, and to not spend money it doesn’t have.

“When Bush spent like a drunken sailor no right wing Republican opened their yaps.”

I don’t believe you were listening.  There was a big outcry over costs of the Rx drug program and the original TARP bailouts.

“…only the rich made out like bandits because they were suppliers for the military and for the construction of that embassy.”

Spending on embassy: bad. Spending on domestic turtle tunnels: good. Surely, then you are outraged with the increase in no-bid contracts under the current administration.

“Bush gave the rich.   I'm sick and tired of working to exist and existing to work while no pain is felt by the 1% who got 11% richer under Bush.”

So your satisfaction with your own life is dependent upon whether or not someone else gets richer. You feel the rich aren’t paying their fair share. And your satisfaction will improve if the government does what you can’t do: punish the wealthy for earning more.

Congratulations you have earned your Wealth Envy Certificate of Achievement.  Now here are some facts to cheer you up: As the tax rates on the evil rich were reduced, they ended up paying a higher share of all income taxes collected. Today the top 1% pays over 40% of federal income tax. The top 5% pays over 60%. The bottom half of income filers pay less that 3%. That ought to warm your cockles.

Change to direction off the country from a downward slide

Wrong. What indices are you citing? The trade deficit? That's lame.

( inhancing the rich corporations),

Wrong again. Enhancing means outsourcing which means less American jobs, higher profits derived from countries with less tax consequences and regulation while exploiting their labor and natural resources. EVERYONE loses here.

to an upwards slide( inhancing the middleclass).

WRONG.  You don't know statistics and you don't know the MiddleClass weight being carried----

We over the last 12 years, gave our manufacturing, financial well being, financing 2 war profiting occupations, to the communist chinese government. We want it back, and reduce our dependency on oil from brutal military dictatorships.

Wrong again. The 1950's we shed the cotton belt of textile jobs and again this is the GLOBAL ECONOMY started long ago.  Ever hear of that?

China is the Mother of Capitalism.

Now post this on a wall somewhere, to remind you, and vote for the CHANGE.

CHANGE? Until you and every loopy leftist get's their facts straight and agendas out in the open the CHANGE is something you know nothing about.

DECLARING UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS UNCONSTITUTIONAL  The feds would have to return all of the taxes collected with interest. That would be great I have Paid HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OD DOLLARS FOR MY EMPLOYEES OVER THE YEARS. It would much cheaper to pass the FAIR TAX.
