That's not the way the posters from the original source was taking it.  As far as your definition of progressives, I believe you are off-base.  Why do you think I pulled away from them?  They are the ones who come across as demeaning and demeaning others here than conservatives.  Also they tend to twist things around more.

OF COURSE THEY WERE! Whoever posted this did some research - that expression "Our Residence, The Hague" uses the Royal "we" and makes an oblique reference to the International Law regarding KIDNAPPING of children (begins "Our Habitual Residence...") and the retweets didn't elaborate, just let it go knowing Progressives would enjoy the idea Der Trumper might be complicit in thousands of infant abductions and a subject of the International Court of Justice, but certainly NOT assuming the KING would get involved in making such a whishy-washy accusation.

Tex - I'm going to let you in on a secret.

Progressives LOVE things like the King's Letter BECAUSE ITS FUNNY! No way anyone on the left actually believes these little vignettes, but they do convey a message and go with the spirit of the times.

Regressives, on the other hand, have been trained from birth to swallow anything that demeans, insults or degrades one or more of their enemies - poor people, colored people, intelligent people, foreign people being favorite targets.

This is how an entire political party can loudly proclaim they were defeated by a Kenyian, jrbush could go 8 years in charge of the FBI, CIA, NSA, NRO and the entire DOD and NOT find the bodies of the people Bill Clinton had killed, and the entire Justice Department and especially the FBI is involved in a conspiracy to frame Der Trumper.

Small wonder they elected someone who thinks the National Enquirer's stories about The Amazing Frog Boy and aliens meeting with warhero bush are actually "news". (They're all LOCO EN LA CABASA)

You do realize that the article from Democratic Underground has been changed and the poster admitting the twitter post was a fake?

I had been waiting for a liberal here to zealously repost that here, even if you didn't post the entire post.  You did retain the attributing to the Netherland's King.

No he didn't.

That started out with the posters on Democratic Underground having a fest because the Netherlands King was putting Trump down.  Then the revelations came out that it was a hoax.  Now no joy in liberal land there.

jrbush hasn't traveled outside the US for fear of being arrested and hauled to that beautiful building to stand trial for war crimes and crimes against humanity, all connected to his lying us into War with Iraq and slaughtering a couple hundred thousand Iraqis, including tens of thousands of civilians with his "shock and awe"

So far, Der Trumper is only looking at some potential frauds and banking violations, so it seems unlikely he'd be following jr to the docket...so far.
