@john258–Anyone who has sexually harassed or worse anyone in the workplace should lose his or her job.  Lauer should have been fired, just like the others. (Lauer has admitted to the majority of this, BTW.)

In addition, anyone who violates anyone—even outside of the workplace should be held culpable—and that includes CRAZY trump.

Gee—I miss having a real—AND SANE—president!

I agree on both counts. Katie COuric brought it up in a 2012 interview. it had no impact..and i STILL SAY.. katie being a high powered woman in her own right, should have slapped the crap out of him everytime. But she didnt, because of the power of money. I never did like that Gollum looking lauer, he wrecked morning news and i stopped watching his show LONG ago. In a way, he led NBC morning into a subtle T&A show..hoda and cathy lee drinking and salacious talk..sickening fluff..very soft porn.

The right loves to make this a political issue, because it distracts from Roy Moore and Trumps support for him. You dont see our perv in chief saying  none of thes people have been charged.

Something to think about - the Fox harassment situation.

I know, Fox fired the CEO for covering it up.  Who thinks Matt Lauer just started this last week?

As you say, Something to think about...

How he stayed employed after pulling his junk out..is just beyond me. he wasnt at a concert, rave, or smashed at a friends party. how do you NOT get fired for doing that at work?

The right loves to make this a political issue, because it distracts from Roy Moore and Trumps support for him. You dont see our perv in chief saying  none of thes people have been charged.

Of course all the women victims who were hurt in some way by this are right to come forward. but hypocracy..equating garrison keillors situation with Bill Oreilly? of course we might find keillor had a pattern too.

The situation is galling to me as a man. I have always considered my self on the pervy side, but i NEVER believed in pushing myself on anyone because of the power i had over them. crimeny, one bunch of ladies i supervised got together and told me they would take turns sitting under my desk while i did their performance reviews. I laughed at it..it was funny and customary for that bunch. SOme i even said hell yeah..but did it happen? did i push for any physical stuff? no..i provided a safe environment. If a man on my crew was reported to me for being abusive..I told them they would be gone without progressive discipline.  You dont have a team environment by whipping it out or grabbing people.

Still grab the wife tho..just like she grabs me. no harm done at ths age lol

So it begins.

Roy Moore is still a senate candidate. do you approve?

Oh, you'll get the standard "that's up to the voters of Alabama to decide" dodge.

On the other hand, just saw a headline that read Pelosi has called on John Conyers to resign.

Men abusing women shows no political affiliation. But there seems to be a political divide over how it's handled.

NBC Fires Matt Lauer Over Sexual Misconduct Allegation

Only foolish, petty people perceive this problem in terms of political left or right. This is an issue which arises almost always when someone is in a position of power over a subordinate. Republicans and Democrats have no monopoly on these sexual predators.

Just to throw a little irony into this discussion, here's Matt Lauer interviewing Bill O'Reilly about sexual harassment.

Irony #2 comes at about 4:20 and the other irony clocks in at about 4:55.

NBC has fired its leading morning news anchor Matt Lauer over a sexual harassment allegation, the network’s president for news said in a memo to staff on Wednesday.

“On Monday night, we received a detailed complaint from a colleague about inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace by Matt Lauer,” Andrew Lack, the NBC News president, said in the memo.

He said the allegation against Mr. Lauer “represented, after serious review, a clear violation of our company’s standards. As a result, we’ve decided to terminate his employment.”

“While it is the first complaint about his behavior in the over 20 years he’s been at NBC News, we were also presented with reason to believe this may not have been an isolated incident.”

What are your feelings on this story? Should he have been fired or let stay? Please give us your views.  Here are mine. So far we have one person yet with Trump we had around 15. We have no tape or video on Matt. On Trump we have tape of him telling us what he does. NBC fired Matt. Far right Reb. allowed Trump to run for President, and Reb., and 3rd party, plus some Dems elected him President. That would seem to tell us close to 1/2 of voters (includes 100% far right voters) approve of Trumps conduct toward women. Do you agree with what my feelings are?
