Mueller's Legal Team Composition

I'm sorry, but NH is wrong again. Yes, in the typical criminal case, a crime or crimes are commited, an investigation ensues, and charges/indictments follow.

But it's not unusual for law enforcement to come across suspicious behavior (either on their own or through tips from citizens) that a crime, or a series of crimes, were probably committed. Law enforcement then sets up a task force to investigate and ascertain if a crime or crimes were committed. And if there were crimes, who committed them. This doesn't happen as often as the first example, but it certainly isn't unusual. And it doesn't violate anyone's rights.

In the Mueller example, a REPUBLICAN CONTROLLED HOUSE and SENATE, initiated 3 separate investigations of the Trump Administration. Ask the Republicans why they did that.

Look at Hillary. There were 9 separate and very expensive House and Senate investigations of Hillary over the years. They were conducted by highly biased Republican House and Senate members, and they could never once charge her with committing a crime.

Let me help clarify NH's description of the Mueller Investigation as a "fishing expedition" (in his words). At least he didn't use Trump's "Witch Hunt" term. Thank you NH, I'm so sick of that expression.

  • Mueller's fishing expedition has already resulted in numerous Trump Campaign/Administration indictments
  • Then we have the bizarre behavior of a President who:
  • has never said one negative word about Putin
  • Despite the reports of all our intelligence agencies, Trump refused to acknowledge Russian interference in the 2016 election.
  • Trump allowed only a Russian reporter and photographer in the Oval Office, while banning U.S. reporters when he met with the Russian Ambassador.
  • Despite a 98-2 Senate vote and overwhelming support in the House to impose sanctions against Russia, Trump declined to implement those sanctions. WHY?
  • Finally, Trump refuses to defend America against Russian cyber attacks.

You see NH, if Trump wasn't guilty of doing something serious, he wouldn't be acting as described above. And he wouldn't have hired people in top level positions, who were secretly working for foreign governments.

In this country, one is usually accused of a specific crime, charged with that crime, judged on that crime, and punished (or vindicated) for that crime. We don't assign a prosecutor and investigatory committee to "look into" IF you did something wrong (fishing expedition) or as some have called "witch hunt".

Not really Jim, that's only interesting to someone who believes every radical right wing political conspiracy known to man.

For those who believe in the rule of law and due process, the make up of Mueller's Legal Team is fascinating.

What is more interesting is to look at the people “selected” within those categories and look at their resumes, past actions along with the political donations they have made...

NH, I couldn't disagree with you more. I can't count the number of posts in this forum where Trump Lovers said Mueller's been investigating Trump for months and there is no collusion, so stop wasting our time and money on this witchunt.

Where were you when these numerous posts were uploaded?

CNN, one of the world's great news organizations, reported on the breakdown of Mueller's Legal Team (7 lawyers). They are divided into 6 categories of experience and expertise.

  • Financial Crimes
  • Political Corruption
  • National Security
  • Organized Crime
  • Cyber Crime
  • Appellate Law

I'm sure members of the Trump Cult are scratching their heads as they ask where are the collusion experts? They are so dumb. Trump and Fox keeps talking about collusion, but they don't tell their blindly loyal followers there is no federal law called "collusion". Of course Trump's minions never take the time to research anything, so they still believe Mueller is investigating that non-existing charge.

Everyone knows that there is no federal crime called collusion yet you keep repeating that fabrication. Mueller is continuing his fishing expedition to placate the Dems yet nothing to date has been found to indicate wrong doings by Trump. I hope the investigation continues and will include the Fusion GPS dossier, Steele, Democrat money to fund the dossier, judges that accepted the dossier to permit a FISA warrant to spy on Trump, and a host of other people and things. Let it all hang out whatever the outcome.

Mueller is NOT investigating "collusion" but he is investigating Trump to discover if he violated ANYTHING he ever did (commonly called a "fishing expedition"). How would you like to be investigated to see IF you ever did anything wrong (not that you did)?
