Trump could not manage a scripted transition without introducing chaos.  It is just another example of how incompetent he is.

As a rule, when Administrations change, there is a calm and cooperative transfer. It wasn't Trump who changed the rules.

The rule existed prior to trump - it's the man-baby who is trying to not follow the rules.

He continues to suck.

"liddle" donnie is running the government as incompetently as he ran his failed casinos - the only difference is that congress holds the purse strings - and not Captain Incompetent...

Did ya notice?

trump's white house ethics lawyer quit - guess he didn't want to lose his license to practice law and get a term in prison...

  • byrondennis: I reported them to the moderator. Let's see if AARP does the right thing and gets rid of these people who can never provide facts, that always go totally off topic, and that in their lack of ability to debate quickly resort to calling those who disagree with them "a Russian." That's all you need to know about how polluted the Obama swamp was (and is). The Obama swamp gives swamps a bad name.

Pretty hilarious to see someone complain about going off topic and providing no facts while proceeding to do exactly that.

Pretty typical of the leftist commenters on this Commenting page. Do you really think you will not be called out for deleting the three paragraphs of my comment which included the facts and was on topic. It read:

  • As to the substance, there is no mention anywhere in this thread that according to Reuters the CF Board's general counsel, who was appointed by Cordray, has ruled that the administration is correct and that Cordray is wrong. Strongly implied in one of the Reuters articles on this subject is that the general counsel told Cordray this and yet he stilled pulled his political theater stunt.

  • That's all you need to know about how polluted the Obama swamp was (and is). The Obama swamp gives swamps a bad name. Dodd-Frank supposedly (see Note) uses the word "unavailable" as in, "when the director is unavailable, the deputy is in charge." This is very common in all kinds of government language. "Unavailable" does not include things like resigned or dead, it means like in coming out of a colonscopy or a tooth extraction.

  • Reportedly the counsel has sent out a letter to all CF Board employees telling them that Mulvaney is in charge.... no need to wait for judicial resolve of this issue... despite what the leftist press says, it is over. That's because Evans suit will be moot by the time it bubbles up; the administration will have its permanent replacement in place by then. (Plus the press has already moved on to the Pochohauntas kerfuffle.)

Turns out I guess the judge ruled the way the CF Board's counsel said it would and against the leftists.

NOTE: Later I actually read the Dodd-Frank law and the Reuters article was correct. All the law says is "unavailable." There is no "clear" leftist succession plan in Dodd-Frank as stated in a dozen of these comments.

Last I checked, Obama wasn't posting here. He's out golfing. I "reported them" for going off topic, never providing facts and bashing Gail.

What facts would you like?

  • Obama was a better president
  • Trump is incompetent
  • Everything Trump touches turns to chaos
  • This is another example of the above.

Or what about "Clinton would have been a better president" over the lying incompetent nutcase we have in the White House now?

I hate to break the news to you but here is what the law states. When the director resigns before his term ends the asst. director shall become the director. So yes Mr. Cordray followed the law in telling all who would replace him until the President nominated a new director and that person was confirmed by the Senate. That is what the law  says and neither you nor I can change that. You should learn the details of a subject not just follow your orders from the BOT farm. By the way a judge will rule on this and we will see what happens. There are reports the judge has ruled for Trump so that is step one, but it does not change what is written in the law. Go read the law.

I do not have access to your "BOT farm" but possibly you can offer your source that explains the connectivity between CFPB and SS/Medicare.

The earlier resignation and appointment by the CFPB former head, Mr. Corday threw this into turmoil.

He knew what the Admin. had planned - most likely this will have to be settled in the Courts since there are conflicting laws as to appointments and why this agencies is different than the rest.

The appointment by Mr. Corday was in line with the law and he did what he was supposed todo. It was Trump who had his puppets who found  a law he could try and use to create a mess as he always does. He could have appointed a new director as called for in the law and submitted him for approval by the Senate. You really had to reach for this, and in the process showed you are a far right Trump supporter. We now understand your posts on SS, and Medicare as they fit the far right.

Do "we" understand that it is not the appointment of Mr. Cordray  that is under discussion? And do "we" understand that Mr. Cordray has and had nothing to do with SS and Medicare.

I never gave you advice nor did I ever give anyone else any advice. You have made this nonsense claim dozens of times but cannot identify when you supposedly received this advice -- so that we can figure out what you are reading... and figure out the backstory to your nonsense lie.

The best I can tell is that you do not know the meaning of the word "advice" just as you do not know the meaning of the word "clear" as it applies to the subject of this thread.

You did give advice and I went over it with you at the time. I will be happy to go over this again with someone from AARP so that they can make sure it will not happen to anyone else. I tell the truth which is something  you do not, and I know what the word advice means, and it does apply to what you post in any thread. My suggestion to you would be learn your subjects before posting about them.
