I have never understood the Marxist label.  Trump wants ME to pay for HIS wall,...... the one Mexico was supposed to pay for when he was campaigning. That seems to be part of the American experience but cleaning up pollution is somehow Marxist.  I do not understand. Sigh.  Maybe too many years making my own life decisions and suffering my own consequences to understand someone like Trump, eh?

Do you really believe that what you paid in is what you get back out? What you paid in, along with what others paid in, is what you get out.

Same for unemployment compensation.

Same for the funding that funds our public schools.

There are many things in our DEMOCRACY that are SOCIALIST.

If you don't think so; do some more research.

America isn't even close to 100% capitalism. Obviously the economic engine which drives America is based on capitalism. But two of the largest economic programs in our budget are socialist programs. They are "Social Security" and Medicare.

Withthout those two, millions of Americans would go broke, become very ill, or possibly die.

O.K. so you are a fan of a "wee bit" of socialism. How about full blown Marxism - any problems with that?? If not, where and how do you draw the line?

You’re reply...grouping many Trump backers as ignorant of facts shows a large degree of ignorance in itself.

You all go with your new socialist goddess, AOC and her New Green Deal, you’ll realize very quickly where real ignorance resides.

Now  it is your post that is doing the generalizing see how easy it is to do that?

Much of our OWN COUNTRY'S economic engine is based on SOCIALISM.

How do you think the mechanics of SOCIAL SECURITY operates?

In the private sector, how do you think the mechanics of health insurance, auto insurance, and homeowner's insurance operate?

We have less of a DEMOCRACY than one thinks and there's nothing wrong with that because I learned long ago that no PURE DEMOCRACY, PURE SOCIALIST, OR PURE COMMUNIST society could be successful.

You are correct. but because a good majority of Americans have no idea of what Socialism or even communism happens to be it is easy for Trump to inflict the fear of those words on the ignorant of those facts.

Perhaps a stitch here or there, but the overall cloth of our economy, made up of Capitalism!!

Pure, 100% socialism—over and over brings poverty and despair. On its own it cant succeed.

One, only has to look around the real world to see example after example of its failure.
