It is? were did you get that information?

Trump Tower Moscow
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Trump Tower Moscow, also known as the Moscow Project,[1] was a series of proposals by the Trump Organization to develop a Trump skyscraper in Moscow, Russia.[2] Michael Cohen testified February 2019 Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump were regularly briefed about a proposed Trump Tower in Moscow.[3][4][5] Trump Jr. had told Congress he was only "peripherally aware of it".[5]

No such project was ever built, but the idea continued to receive press coverage due to Donald Trump's election as president of the United States and the appointment of a special counsel to investigate Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election aimed at promoting Trump's candidacy. In November 2018, Cohen pleaded guilty to lying to Congress about the Trump Tower Moscow in a prosecution brought by the office of the special counsel.[2]

Manafort is going to be haggling over quarters with his prison mates.  That is if they even trust him with dimes, nickles and pennies.

After both of Manafort's sentencings, I'm not sure of all financial penalties/fines he will forfeit or if the 3 seized bank accounts are offshore or not.  All total so far could be 500 million.  As MsStretch posted, his trials are not over yet.

Speaking of... following his sentencing, NY indicted Manafort on 16 state crimes.  Note the word 'state' -- means he cannot be pardoned by the president should he be convicted.

Special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation could turn a profit for the government, thanks to Paul Manafort’s asset forfeiture ~ Sep 17 2018

oceanedge2,

Thanks for those references. They answered my question.

One stated that as part of his plea deal, Manafort surrendered  42 million in realestate and cash. That reference also noted that the cost of Mueler's investigation to date is 17 million.

One of the ongoing whines is that Special Counselor Mueller was costing the FED money, stupidly ignoring that it is already funded through September - via the last budget...when all parts of the Gov't were being run by GOP.     The stupidity of some here never fail to suprise me..

The fines for Manafort may be in the $ 20M range.

Very strange that they found enough to CONVICT Manifort on enough felony crimes that he COULD have served for the rest of his natural life in a Federal Pen, not counting all the time the States could lock him up for, and all the investigating was completed in less than a 10 MONTHS. Same investigators (DOJ/FBI) plus all the resources of the House have been trying to find SOMETHING to charge Hillary with for around 15 YEARS and FAILED to find a single crime.  Does it ever embarrass GOPers to be caught telling OUTRAGEOUS falsehoods in public? Guess not, or they'd have stopped decades ago.

He going to be fined but his Lawyers are appealing citing all his assets value has been overinflated for years & things like his Ostrich Skin Lined Gold Plated Wheel Chair negatively effect his ability to pay

In other words the rules of US Crony Capitalism demand his lawyers get paid B4 the Government gets any of Manaforts Money
