And President Trump is certainly not a bigot - well, that's one's opinion....

As to "lemmings" notice the title did not say "players" so there was an oblivious "group think" involved.  Well, if it's "oblivious", what's your complaint?

As to "good for the black community" - lower unemployment as an example - what is the "bad" part?  A racist bigoted Prez?  How many blacks and other minorities work for the administrationn?  All boats rise with the tide....

If I understand you, the President is a "bigot" because of a disagreement with the Vice-President. An interesting slant on a commonly used word.  Again, "you don't understand" me and, once again, you've distorted what I posted.  It's a much to common theme.

That does put things into perspective. At first it seemed that Clemson was teaching racism to it's black students. "Seemed" is often the key word of trump supporters and deniers. The ones that did not attend did this entirely on their own, no prompting from the school, the coaching staff, nor was it anything that the school taught them. This was and is about trump's racism, not the students'. Now we see that someone is teaching them irrational politics. "Irrational politics"? really? Can you point to Clemson teaching "irrational politics" to these athletes. Or is that just another "assume" on your part?  Anyone looking at things rationally knows that President Trump has been good for the black community. Anyone "seeing things rationally" knows that isn't true

And President Trump is certainly not a bigot - except by the definition in another topic - "If you disagree with me and say so, you are a bigot". Accusing Clemson of teaching racism and "irrational politics" to it's athletes and students falls under "If you disagree with me and say so, you are a bigot".

Read carefully, I said "teaching" not "prompting".

"irrational politics" - I obviously was referring to the outcome not specific class content.

How has the President been bad for the black community?

As to the new and strange application of the word "bigot" - you and I disagree. So, we must both be bigots.

The black players who did not attend did so partially because they think trump is wrong and partially because they not only have no respect for trump - they detest him.

Majority of Clemson’s black players skipped White House visit

A majority of black players from Clemson University’s football team reportedly skipped the much-publicized visit to the White House for President Trump’s fast food feast.

Following Clemson’s victory in the National Championship game over the University of Alabama last month, Trump invited the team to visit the White House, something the sitting president traditionally does for major sports teams that win championships.

The visit picked up extra buzz after Trump announced that he was financing a fast food feast consisting of McDonalds and Wendy’s, among other American fast food staples.

While most of the team made the trip and attended, a majority of black players declined the invite, according to an exclusive report published Tuesday by The Root.

The news outlet reports that only 15 black players out of the 57 on the official team roster decided to attend.

Three of the athletes reportedly cited Trump’s “divisive politics” and instances of “racism” as their reasons to not attend.

Of the 15 black players who did go, 11 were reportedly freshmen or sophomores who did not play frequently.

Only six of the black players who attended were on the national championship depth chart, The Root reported.

“Not saying anything against the players who went, but if you look at who went — freshman and people fighting for playing time — you’ll see what I’m talking about,” one unnamed player, who decided not to attend the White House visit, told The Root.

Another player who spoke on the condition of anonymity said there was no pressure from coaches to attend and players individually decided whether to go or not.

“It wasn’t like we had a team meeting or anything,” the player told The Root. “Players were talking amongst each other but everybody was like: ‘I’m not going to that.’ ”

Joe Galbraith, Clemson’s associate vice president for strategic communications, confirmed to The Root in an email that two-thirds of the team made the trip and the student-athletes had a variety of reasons, such as classes, for not attending.

“We had 76 student-athletes (approximately two-thirds of the team) make the trip to D.C.,” Galbraith wrote. “For a variety of reasons, several players were not able to adjust schedules to make the trip.”

Clemson did not immediately respond to a request for comment from The Hill.

It's nice to see some Clemson players can think for themselves and not just act like lemmings....

One thing we know about the players not attending, they had to be independents or republicans. No democrat will turn down a FREEBIE?

Got a factual verifiable link that has a list of the players that did not attend the White House - as well a what political party they're affiliated with to back up your post containing thus far unverified allegations?

Great question!  Better yet, let's see a factual verified link on ALL who DID attend and ALL who DIDN'T attend and their political parties.  Otherwise, this whole discussion doesn't mean a whole lot.  Oh, and make sure you include what those who attended ate. Sheesh

Find the two pictures like Afisher suggested and compare them.  Seeesh !
