Lindsey Graham Formally Requests DOJ to Have People Testify as to Crossfire Hurricane and FISA Abuse

BY:  Nick Arama

Lot of news popping today concerning the the DOJ.

First came the bombshell report that U.S. Attorney John Durham may be looking into if the Obama administration and the CIA under John Brennan hid or manipulated evidence of Russian meddling.

Second, the extremely disappointing news that the DOJ had chosen not to prosecute Andrew McCabe for the allegedly “lacking candor” with investigators that was outlined in the IG report. It should be noted however that doesn’t foreclose further action under the Durham investigation.

Third, a report that the DOJ would be reviewing the Michael Flynn case and that Attorney General William Barr had appointed an outside U.S Attorney to do the job.

Now, comes the report that Senate Judiciary Chair Lindsey Graham (R-SC) is asking Barr to make witnesses available to be questioned by his Committer in regard to Crossfire Hurricane and the FBI FISA abuse. It looks like they want to question everyone who had anything to do with Crossfire Hurricane or the affidavits filed for the FISA warrants against Carter Page who is still in the Department of Justice including Bruce Ohr and Dana Boente. The letter from Graham also indicates that they will be pursuing questioning some who have left the DOJ including former FBI Director James Comey, FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, former Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates and former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.

Graham told CBS’s Catherine Herridge he planned to deliver a witness list for the FISA hearings to the Justice Department shortly and indicated weeks of FISA witness hearings might begin as soon as late February or early March.

“What I will do is I will get to the bottom of how the FISA warrant system failed and make sure we reform it, and it doesn’t happen again,” Graham told Margaret Brennan on Face the Nation on Sunday.

The DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s December report on FISA abuse concluded that the FBI’s investigation was filled with serious missteps and concealed exculpatory information from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court. Horowitz said at least 17 “significant errors and omissions” were discovered in the Page FISA applications spanning from fall 2016 to summer 2017.

But here’s the thing, Sen. Graham.

We need to be reassured that justice is going to be served.

We see two tier justice system when it comes to Democrats versus Republicans.

Hillary Clinton sends and received classified email, deletes emails, aides reportedly destroy cellphones. John Brennan lies about spying on Congress. Andrew McCabe “lacks candor” with investigators. James Comey acts improperly. Nothing happens.

Roger Stone lies to Congress. Nine years, recommended by Mueller prosecutors, despite presenting a different picture to leadership before they did so, raising the question in some people’s minds if it was all theater to make Barr look bad. Michael Flynn questionable as to whether he actually lied and we’re still here trying to figure out what sentence he’s going to get.

One result that the Obama administration wrought was a distrust that justice would be served whenever any Democrat/Obama administration did something wrong because no one was ever held to account or suffered punishment for any offense. That’s continued to the holdovers in government now.

There’s a huge lack of faith in government now and the feeling that justice will be served needs to be restored. It will only be when people start paying with consequences for their actions.

Yup ..... as recently evidenced when the Republican controlled Senate placed Trump above the law and our Constitution ..... allowing Trump to "pay no consequences for his (criminal) actions"!
