Have you noticed that the only rebuttal the Regressives have been able to mount is a series of cartoons?  It must be interesting to see facts from scientific studies supporting the man made climate change theory and your only rebuttal is a cartoon about cow farts.

GOPerLords are sitting on tens of trillions of dollars worth of fossil fuel that will not put money in their pockets unless it's taken OUT of the Earth and put INTO the air, so they tell their obedient and mindless base Man cannot stop cow farts, so we should not bother trying to "go green energy" so they can continue to pocket the greenbacks.

Here's a pictorial description of what's really going on:

The land, including all the animals, volcanos, etc, produce the equivalent of 439GTons of CO2, but the vegetation can absorb 450GTons, 11GTons more than is produced by Nature.

The oceans produce 332GTons and can absorb 338GTons, 6 more than Nature produces, so in total Nature can absorb 17Gtons more CO2 than it produces.

BUT Mankind produces 29GTons and absorbs NADA, so WE are responsible for 100% of the INCREASE in Green House Gases that is driving us toward a Climate catastrophe of biblical proportions.

No need to control cow farts or volcanoes, Nature already does that.

Just need to control GREED, and to do that, we must remove the rapacious Republicans who are figuring they'll make enough money to save THEIR families from the Catastrophe they are creating for the rest of us in the process of creating said Catastrophe.

As you can see in Figure 1, natural land and ocean carbon remains roughly in balance and have done so for a long time – and we know this because we can measure historic levels of CO2 in the atmosphere both directly (in ice cores) and indirectly (through proxies).

Figure 1: Global carbon cycle. Numbers represent flux of carbon dioxide in gigatons (Source: Figure 7.3, IPCC AR4).

But consider what happens when more CO2 is released from outside of the natural carbon cycle – by burning fossil fuels. Although our output of 29 gigatons of CO2 is tiny compared to the 750 gigatons moving through the carbon cycle each year, it adds up because the land and ocean cannot absorb all of the extra CO2. About 40% of this additional CO2 is absorbed. The rest remains in the atmosphere, and as a consequence, atmospheric CO2 is at its highest level in 15 to 20 million years (Tripati 2009). (A natural change of 100ppm normally takes 5,000 to 20,000 years. The recent increase of 100ppm has taken just 120 years).

Probably a similiar stat for Wash. State too I should think:

California's wildfires are 500% larger due to climate change.

It's hurricane season...  We have it every year and we often have hurricanes and tropical storms that have a lot of rain in them.

In 1998 when I lived in south Florida a tropical storm dumped 26 inches of rain in 24 hours.  The next day during low tide everything east of US-1 was completely drained.  Everything west of US-1 stayed wet for 2 weeks.

It's a weather event, not to be confused with the "Climate".

It's "weather" when you cite a single event like you just did.

It's "climate change" when you examine long-term increases in the number and severity of storms. By the way, Miami is east of Highway 1, and it doesn't "drain" worth beans any more because of the rise in sealevel - you know, that thing you and yours were claiming a year ago would never happen?

Will an outrageously high carbon tax make the water drain quicker?  We need proof that high carbon taxes will mitigate the climate not just liberal talking points.  How long will it take for the new high taxes to fix the climate?

Yep - by slowing the melting of the icepack. We slow the melting by not producing so much greenhouse gas.

We produce less greenhouse gas by using the tax money from the ones killing us to subsidize those saving us.

The one's killing us are tRump, Reublicans and the Oligarchs of Carbon and Internal Combustion

The one's saving us are the ones building solar, wind, hydro and Nuclear power generation AND batteries to replace internal combustion engines and provide backup when the sun don't shine or the wind don't blow, modernizing our power grid and the rest of our infrastructure so we can join the rest of the world and use more mass transit as we go out for a nice thick steak for dinner.

Here's how GOPers lie to support other lies:

FACTS:

1. 100% of the naturally occuring greenhouse gases - CO2, CH4 N2O and CFCs- are reabsorbed as they are created - naturally. In fact, Nature can reabsorb about 20Gtons more CO2 "equivalents" than it produces.

2. Man produces about 37Gtons of CO2 etc and absorbs NONE.

THEREFORE anthropogenic greenhouse gases account for 100% of the INCREASE in atmospheric grreenhouse gas, about 17Gtons/year.

Spin it any way you want, WE are causing the problem by our use of fossil fuel and our agriculture, and WE can end the problem,

It will however require that those MOST responsible for the problem bear MOST of the cost, and since those people in the USA are almost all Republicans, the GOPerLords have ordered the GOPerBase to claim the problem CANNOT be solved, so don't even try.

NOT says "Please provide a link that says GOP supports expanding coal. Your imagination is running away again Scout."

How about President Trump's repeated push to bring back Coal Jobs ? Are we now denying that happened ?

Sure jimc and President Trump has the answer. Bring back Coal , allow more drilling on our Coasts , allow massive digging for Gold at our largest Salmon spawning river and remove Obama's MPG Increase requirement for Automoblies.

Now that's advancements in Science.

If the liberals want to try some greenhouse experiments, I suggest you do so yourselves and report back the outcome in 50-100 years!

Ah, Now I recognise the sarcasm and defeatism.  You seem to agree that man's increasing the level of greenhouse gasses in the environment is what is causing the massive changes but don't believe the planet can establish its own equilibrium if we stop.

You and the liberals own the defeatism since you have been stamping your feet for attention the last two decades.  I say, if you want to experiment, you own the experiment.  I don't believe liberals can change the climate, but liberals are a stubborn bunch.

Once again GOPerbots have latched on to partial information because it makes a scarey case for their illogical notions.

FACT: Agriculture in total contributes 6.5% of the total Manmade greenhouse gases emitted each year.

So just give up steak and that will eliminate 6.5% making great strides toward mitigating climate change.

Cadet Bonespurs is pushing for more COAL use, which produces 27.4% of global greenhouse gases and kills 14,000 Americans each year.

Coal is decreasing every year as better/cheaper fuels become available.  Who is cadet bonespurs? Is it Biden?

Now GOPerbots say Progressives must give up eating steak while they continue to support expanding the 14.6Gigatons of CO2 equivalents from coal.

What would your plan be step by step to "fixing the climate"?

Please provide a link that says GOP supports expanding coal.  Your imagination is running away again Scout.

GOPers just want to make fixing the problem sound unpleasant to lofos (that would be the progressive left) who like steak as a means of keeping Big Carbon raking in the profits while they kill thousands of Americans now and millions in the not so distant future.

What would your plan be Scout, for fixing the climate step by step?  Tax the rich?  Transfer some of that wealth to liberals?
