Now  this is what I have been waiting for. The Koch's brothers and others big donor like them coming to the rescue of this country.
Those people really understand the value of free trade, and what Trump is doing is really harming the economy no matter what this quarter has stated. Next quarter is already stated to be a lot lower.
They understand that the disarray and the amount of money that has been spent by the now Republicans will have dire consequences, and they will not support Trump Followers in their elections with their monies.

The Koch bros have buyer's remorse - they have a dysfunctional sociopath in office, and are stuck with it...

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. ― Charles Koch, the libertarian megadonor who leads a network that has spent tens of millions helping Republicans win races over the past several election cycles, suggested in a rare on-the-record briefing with reporters Sunday that his groups may spend less cash backing the GOP in the future.

“What I regret is some of the ones we have supported,” Koch told reporters at The Broadmoor resort, where more than 500 donors to the Koch Network had gathered for its annual summer summit.

“We’re going to be stricter, when they say they’re going to be for these principles.”

Koch did not specify which candidates he was referring to.

He promised to “hold people accountable for their commitments” and said the donor network would “engage in politics to the degree it’s really moving our overall agenda.” The group also spends heavily on lobbying, and on backing nonprofits and educational institutions.

While money from the Koch Network played a major role in Republicans winning countless gubernatorial, congressional and Senate races during the presidency of Barack Obama, the network declined to endorse President Donald Trump’s run in 2016.

While the network has had success in stocking the Trump administration with its allies and is immensely pleased with the GOP’s tax cuts, it’s also been sharply critical of his handling of immigration and trade and has slammed a $1.3 trillion spending bill Congress passed earlier this year.

Brian Hooks, a top official at the network, slammed the legislation as “the most fiscally irresponsible budget in the history of our country” during a briefing for donors earlier in the day.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Top leaders of the conservative Koch political network, frustrated with the direction of the Republican Party, are attempting to rebrand the organization by vowing to be less partisan and work with elected officials across the political spectrum to advance their policy priorities.

In a rare interview with reporters, a reflective Charles Koch spoke about "mistakes" he and his network have made in the past, alluding to the strictly partisan playbook that the organization has deployed for more than a decade.

He told reporters in a short ten minute question and answer session here that he "regrets" supporting some Republicans who "say they're going to be for these principles that we espoused and then they aren't." He added that the network, which spends hundreds of millions of dollars every election cycle, will be "much stricter" when determining who to support in the future.

“The divisiveness of this White House is causing long-term damage,” Brian Hooks, co-chair of the Seminar Network, told reporters. “And so that’s why we say there’s a lack of leadership and there’s an opportunity for this network to step up and express a positive vision on the issues to help people improve their lives."

"You see this on trade," Hook said. "In order to get to a good place on the debate, you have to convince the American people that trade is bad. You see it on immigration, in order to get to a good policy," Hooks said, "you have to convince people that immigrants are bad. That’s not a sustainable tactic or achieving good policy."

Charles Koch said he and his network are to blame too, adding, "We’re all part of that. None of us are perfect and none of us fully embrace mutual benefit and equal rights."

When asked if the organization is disappointed with Republicans, Brent Gardner, head of government affairs for Americans for Prosperity exclaimed, "Oh yeah!"

"We’re horrified by the spending. Absolutely horrified," Gardner said. "This is something run-on, and run-from when it’s time to take votes."

Koch Brothers Blast Trumps Incompetence

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. ― Leaders of the Koch Network of conservative megadonors opened the group’s annual summer summit with harsh criticism of President Donald Trump, slamming his rhetoric as divisive and his push for a trade war as misguided.

The network, which has spent millions over the past 15 years to shape the GOP in its image, has had an up-and-down relationship with the president.

It refused to back his election bid in 2016, but has succeeded in filling the Trump administration with allies who share its economic libertarian vision, often with the help of Vice President Mike Pence. It’s praised the president’s judicial selections ― and has said it will spend heavily to promote the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court ― as well as the GOP tax cuts.

But it has broken with him on immigration and trade.

In a briefing for reporters, top Koch network officials said the Trump administration’s rhetoric was making it more difficult for politicians and Americans to find common ground.

“The manner in which people engage public policy matters,” said Brian Hooks, the co-chair of the Seminar Network, the umbrella group that hosts the gatherings. “And it’s gone way beyond tone, way beyond tactic.

The divisiveness of this White House is causing long-term damage.”

“When in order to win on an issue, somebody else has to lose, it makes it very difficult to unite people to solve the problems in this country,” Hooks said.
