"26 years ago today the Violence Against Women Act, WAS  authored by   Joe Biden
....was signed into law, ensuring survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence have access to the care they need.
Mitch McConnell is refusing to bring its reauthorization to the Senate floor."    (  Mitch's senate has only 5 outnumbered women, one black male and the rest are the "good ol--boys"  white males priority being keeping women as breeders and sex objects. )

Living free from violence is a human right, yet millions of women and girls suffer disproportionately from gender-based violence both in peace and in war, at the hands of the state, in the home and community.

This law created a cultural change to take violence against women seriously.  whether it was incest,  rape  or beatings.       Before President Bill Clinton signed the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) into law as part of the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act on Sept. 13, 1994, domestic abusers could cross state lines to avoid prosecution for beating their spouses, as law enforcement was not to required to listen to orders of protection filed in other states.

Yes, good for Kamala.
And to echo thoughts Women and Minorities, if You wish to be treated equally and respectfully, do not vote for republicans...promote change, not abuse and disrespect.

Any woman who votes for any Republican is incapable of assessing her own best interest - exactly the position the Republicans assume applies to ALL women, hence GOPers" justification to assume control of women's bodies (and minds) as demonstrated in their legislative history and religious dogma on the subject.

If you enjoy working for 80% of what a man is paid, having your abilities and accomplishments ignored or disparaged, and living barefoot and pregnant AND passing that life on to your daughters and granddaughters, by all means, vote for Republicans. If not...

GOPers are NOT going to change - the past 150 years of their thoughts words and deeds proves it.
