Kinda goes back to the thread about accepting an award from trump—he is a disgrace, no one with morals or ethics wants to be associated with the fool.

Gee, I miss having a real president!

What evidence do you have on President Trump to make you judge him a racist?  Have you ever met him or spent any time in his presence?

By the way this thread is about John Lewis not Joe Louis.  Joe was a Pro Boxer and an all around good guy. (Died in 1981)

John Lewis is displaying poor judgement and divisive behavior by refusing to attend an event because a man he does not like is attending.  Seems childish.  I bet MLK would not approve, he liked to sit down and talk to other leaders...

Plenty of evidence Jim. SInce spending time in the kings presence is now your requirement to speak of his highness, it time for you to stop singing his praises. How about you post about his civil rights bonafides? we are waiting for you to list them. And its not that lewis doesnt like Trump, its because Trump is the standard bearer for everything lewis spent his life fighting.

So it begins.

TAKE THE BLINDERS OFF, @jimc91, AND SMELL THE ROSES!!!!

Trump has endorsed a man that has said America was great when it had slavery!!!!!

Trump has endorsed a man that calls Native Americans and Asian Americans "REDS" and "YELLOWS".

Trump has said that he'd rather have JEWS doing his taxes than BLACKS.

Trump's comments about Chicago and other urban BLACK areas are always rooted in racists overtones.

Trump's relationship with the KKK from not addressing DAVID DUKE'S endorsement immediately to Trump calling KKK members "good people" in Charlottesville is purely racist in nature.

Trump's treatment of minorities in his businesses also backs up this claim.

To question whether Trump is a racist is but a diversionary tactic; it is clear that he is, will forever be, and always has been.

Final question, @jimc91, are you in agreement with Trump's comments about who should do his taxes..... are you in agreement with Moore's comments relating to the "REDS" and "YELLOWS"??????????????

Should dt decide to have another photo op, as he's doing today, at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, people would boycott that decision also.

(should a cult member tell him a formal invitation isn't necessary?)

Trump Busted For Huge Lie About Helping To Build The Vietnam War Memorial

By Jason Easley Jul 30th, 2016

“I was very responsible along with a group of people for getting the Vietnam Memorial built.”

....Trump was on the board to get the memorial built, he blew off most of the meetings.....only two or three out of 20 meetings.....Trump only showed up the first meeting, and then only showed up again for the sake of publicity when a reporter was doing a story on him.

The next time that Donald Trump claims he is going to take care of our veterans, someone needs to ask him exactly what he means by that statement because his entire personal history involves using veterans for publicity.

Trump is no friend to our vets, and if Trump is elected president, he will treat vets the same poor way that he has treated them for entire adult life as a private citizen.

Jim - How do people learn to work together when one side refuses to be in the same room with others...

It works like this jim.

Trump will not speak publicly at opening of Mississippi’s Civil Rights Museum

"The president is going to be here for however long he's going to be here, but this civil rights museum will be here in perpetuity," Espy said. "It is what it is."

I just don’t want it to be turned into a circus. It’s a very cerebral and solemn event celebrating the contributions of civil rights heroes and it shouldn’t be turned into a spectacle."

…..President Donald Trump will participate in a separate private event at the new Civil Rights Museum in Jackson, Mississippi, on Saturday morning, rather than in the public ceremony.

…..Several people who worked on the museum told NBC News they had no idea that Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant had extended an invitation to the president, and only found out when Trump accepted the offer earlier this week. Multiple people close to the situation have said staff at the museum scrambled to address the security surrounding Trump's arrival alone, but that disorder grew as speakers dropped out of the event.

…..“Trump has pompously shown a wanton disregard for the continuing struggles for civil, human and women’s rights,” and his presence is an “intolerable contradiction,

….."I think this was a diplomatic effort that will help solve this issue," said Mike Espy, a former Mississippi congressman and secretary of agriculture who served since the early 2000s on the state’s committee to establish the museum.
