So, here's the actual history of the Debt.

$1.936 TRILLION added by Reagan 1981-1989 (incr 234%)

3.306 TRILLION added for service on the debt created by Reagan

6.103 TRILLION added by jrbush 2001-2009 (incr 105%)

2.810 TRILLION added for service on debt created by jrbush

5.000 TRILLION added by jr’s wars he lied us into

$ 19.155TRILLION Debt due to the Reagan and jrbush administrations' fiscal policies. The total debt is only $22.7Trillion, nearly 85% of which was created in TWO GOP Administrations.

President Obama entered office with a Debt of $11,910TRILLION and a budget deficit of $1.2TRILLION. When he left office, the Deficit was $312Brillion and the Debt was $20.925Trillion, an increase of $9.002Trillion or 76% (9002/11900=.76)and debt service of $216Brillion.

GOPers don't pay attention to what their leaders do - probably because it's so disgusting, but the result is they have no idea who is responsible for the problems they complain about.

She has proposed taxing people with very high incomes at a 70 percent marginal rate, instead of the 37 percent tax bracket currently in place.

I know, Ocasio-Cortez is such a tool for the Republican Party, she only  proposes a 70 percent top marginal rate when it was 91 percent under FDR.

FDR and his coalitions did that to put people to work,  paid down government debt from WWII,  address income inequality, feed the poor, and conservation of the environment.

The day FDR died the Right began to tear all that apart, that is what the Red Scare was really all about.  It was what the 1947 roll back of Wagner act with the Taft Hartley act was about, The slow motion  purge of the left.

Seems to me people don't even realize what happened, what is going on today. The right didn't have to burn books, all they had to do is to convince the people not to read them, the pablum of television, The  " Fair and Balanced " news, Fake news, the attack of the fourth estate when it doesn't tow the line, the consolidation of media.

Problems that have only gotten worse under Republican policies, 21 trillion in debt, 1 trillion a year deficits, income inequality worse then it was during the Great Depression, war for the last seventeen years.

The problems of the Great Depression and the debt of WWII pale in comparison.

The environmental issues FDR faced are nothing compared to man made climate change.

The 1 percent are literally killing the planet and using the money they received in tax cuts to do it, and to attack the democracy itself.

Only a 70 percent top marginal rate?

We have to go farther then that.

Possibly you had not noticed that she is all over the media with her Green New Deal.

Here is the Hillarious part - The Trump Cult cites Trumps not being a Typical Politician as a reason they voted for him

Why is that funny????

Well, it has been compared to hiring a plumber to do your colonoscopy.

Mick quotes Cortez--But once you get to, like, the tippy tops— on your 10 millionth dollar— sometimes you see tax rates as high as 60 or 70 percent.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Tippy Top? Yeah that works for me until I hit my 10 million mark. Hope you make it.George Soros might not too happy about that rate. But then again he might be happy about it. Soros and others of the wealthiest have advocated higher taxes for the the wealthiest. One of the N.Y. news media  people today was complaining today that she already pays 50 cents on every dollar with Federal ,State,N.Y city tax and her property tax  .Add another 30 cent tax and she will be paying more than 80 cents on every dollar. And who said anything about "another 30% tax" on her entire income? On a  $200,000  yearly salary  she will be left with about $40,000 for every thing else. And do you have any factual data or sources at all that show that's shat would happen? YOu are aware that there has been no actual tax proposal, right? Wonder what the Clintons think of this proposed tax hike being residents of New York. The Clintons, unlike some trump supporters, are intelligent enough to know that there hasn't been a tax proposal, but they have advocated higher taxes for the wealthiest, including themselves. Maybe Nancy Pelosi ,one of richest member of Congress, should have a talk with her about her "Tippy Top" talk.  YOu're right, she should, and help her put together an actual proposal raising the top TMR and replacing some of the top brackets that Reagan eliminated. Just think,Ocasio-Cortez, just a month ago was complaining about not having enough money for rent in the D.C. area. What's your point? You do know that she wasn't in Congress yet or drawing pay for it, right? She can always get a part time job dancing at one of the local clubs. And so could you !
