Seems Der Trumper is counting heavily on the statute of limitations, hoping he'll survive in office until it expires for his crimes. Not sure what would happen if the charges are brought, but not prosecuted until his term ends.

Right now his Ace in the Hole is Republican majorities in House and Senate who will refuse to re-start any investigations he stops. Only solution to that is:

VOTE OUT THE NRAGOP IN NOVMEBER.

What about after trump's presidency is over? He can certainly be prosecuted and convicted then.

Richva:  Trump has argued that he can pardon himself.  He has argued that he is not subject to subpoenas.  I suspect the American people will soon have to determine if the president of the United States actually IS above the law.

My opinion is that no, he is not above the law. A founding principle is that we are a nation of laws and EVERYONE must obey those laws. No exceptions. A president beyond the reach of the law makes that founding principle a joke.

The Courts give a great deal of leeway to the President of the United States, but he/she is not above the law.

Yes,  he is,, and the so called Republicans in the Senate and Congress apparently cannot make up their minds as to whether or what to do with a President that does not respect the rule of law and that truly thinks that he can kill anyone in 5th Ave and they sill still vote for him.

I wonder if these Republicans don't realize that once this is all over and eventually it will be. where are they planning on hiding.?

There still are certain constitutional questions surrounding the Presidency, such as can he be indicted. That one's never come before the Supreme Court.

But you don't have to be a legal scholar to know that nobody is above the law, not even dictator wanna be, Comrade Trump.

Andrew Johnson wan't, Nixon wasn't, Clinton wasn't.

What makes Trump special?

Trump can spend 25% of his time playing golf, but he doesn't have time to answer charges?

The would incapacitate the President?

Or would it just cut into his golf time?

The entire Republican Party has answered a resounding YES, OUR President IS above the Law! He's also above decency, honor, honesty and humility.

If you disagree this is who should lead the Greatest Nation on Earth, do not EVER vote for another Republcian for ANYTHING.

VOTE OUT THE NRAGOP IN NOVEMBER

The Nation you save will once again be your own.

@Richva

IMO NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO No one should ever be above the law.

So he goes out and blows the head of a Candidate he doesn't like is he above the law then, or just pertaining to the mess he has gotten himself into w/Russia, tax fraud, tax evasion, sex scandals, etc?

If he is above the law on this, why would he not be above the law on any and all things he would want to do?

NO, No one is above the law, that is why we have LAWS, not so the President can break them and do what ever he wants and know he can get away with it. What a mess our Country would be in, now and in the future. GOD help us if that is the way we run our Country, now and in the future.

Hopefully he will be charged with something in NY with the Fed Gov. and he will have not chance of even thinking of a pardon for anyone, even his dumb   a           self.
