Bernie Sanders is very popular with far left wing socialist  who claim to be  Democrats.

Ditto---I hope he's wrong.

I read also that  Moore  said he'll re-pay the fines  to any Electors who will vote instead  for the popular vote in their respective states.

GailL1  = You think these few states, if they get a few more, should be able to dictate the winner of a President who should represent the whole country?

YES  you have in a sense proved a point that the Electoral College gives too much power to "swing states" and/or  to be decided by a handful of states.     This  Electoral College is silly--outdated---ridiculous ---archaic ---

because we are ONE COUNTRY and it shouldn't matter the size of the states or

WHERE we live or if we have 2 or 3 or 4 homes in variety of states or jobs in one state and live in other's.

If young voters come to the polls in big numbers Democrats will win across the board. So, why not support the candidate that they like?

We cannot count on IF.    (my opinion)   IF it's even true about fickled voters.

Bernie Sanders is very popular with far left wing socialist  who claim to be  Democrats and his chances of defeating President Trump are slim to none.

Democrats complain that young people don't vote or don't "fall in line" as they are supposed to. That may be true.

If young voters come to the polls in big numbers Democrats will win across the board. So, why not support the candidate that they like?

Voters over / under 50 years of age (NBC News Poll - August 10-14)....

I love Micheal Moore, sure hope that he is wrong...I even think the he hopes he is wrong.

Factors:

-Economy...that could be the decisive factor against trump, maybe

-Third party candidate. Would they be enough to draw votes from Dems

-russia...need we say more. Have voters wised up to russian antics

-Investigations...will any develop to the point that trump cannot do anything about them...we can hope

-Wild card...will trump do something which will put voters over the edge and pledge not to vote for him

Stay tuned!

IS TRUMP ON TRACK for a 2020 WIN ?

I seriously hope not!  The mere thought of another four years of Trump is most disconcerting--depressing in fact.  So it is safe to say that I will be voting for whatever Democratic candidate is put before me.  Any Democratic candidate (whether on two legs or four) would be better than Donald The Trumpster!

Well, the economy really appears to be headed for recession.  This was, pretty much the only positive point for Trump.  There are multiple countries already in recession or on the edge. This will have a contagious effect on other economies, including ours.

Trump's inquiries into purchasing Greenland are going to come back to haunt him during the election as will the number of "acting" or vacant positions. It will allow his Democratic opponent to demonstrate Trump's inability to focus  on anything.

China, Germany, France, and North Korea will all be making 2020 moves to demonstrate Trump's ability to deal with international issues.  In short, Trump has a lot of things going south in 2020.  I think it will depress the vote from his base and sway uncommitted voters against him at the same time the Democratic base will be STOKED.

I thought Michael Moore would be wrong in his prediction about the 2016 election. I was wrong.

This time I'll once again predict Trump will lose. I don't think the economy will hold up until November, 2020. If the economy does tank, and if the Wall Street Financials need another bailout, will he oblige them? I think so. Will Congress jump on board with another bailout like they did last time? Possible.

Will Trump create a Jobs Program if the unemployment rate rises too high, too fast? It could help him.

Will an Independent candidate with name recognition run in 2020 - from either party?

There's a lot of unanswered questions.
