I was answering your comment about Trump being outside the norm but wow. I thought I was pretty clear. Ok. Let me try again.

  • The man can not read and that tends to generate a lack of respect
  • The man can not approve a policy paper with more detail than bullet points so there is never a plan for the Republicans to follow.
  • The man has been outwitted by a porn star so the Republicans all feel they can manipulate him easily.
  • The man has betrayed several Republicans who have tried to follow him so all Republicans know following Trump can be dangerous to your career.
  • The man is under investigation by people the Republicans cannot control. It appears the only time Trump can get cleared is if they do.  He is probably destined to be outed as a Russian asset and no Republican wants to be in the blast area.
  • Now add that he is shaking up his team before a major negotiating effort with the North Koreans.  Also, I still have not heard of North Korea actually issuing an invitation or acceptance to Trump.  So, the Republicans see their top guy (not  leader) about to be embarrassed by Kim Jung Un and they do not want to be behind him when Trump tries to deflect the blame.

It is impossible to offer a reasonable response to a series of assumptions not based on fact nor knowledge, rather on the "Oh how I hate Trump" standards and assumptions.

I do tend to hate people who do my country harm.  You might try it sometime.

  • Trump can't read is documented by his former employees among others. A whole article about how much trouble Trump had with reading his SNL script. Had to have someone read it to him. Sound familiar?
  • Bullet points, I refer you to the Trump Tax plan. All bulllet points
  • Trump's casual cruelties; I refer you to the way he treats Jeff Sessons
  • Trump's stabbing his own party in the back; I refer you to Trump's tweets about Congress

There are so many ways Trump has proved he cannot lead Republicans and when I point them out, you say I hate him. Isn't that what the parent of any snowflake is expected to say when the teacher gives her lovely, sensitive, little man a failing grade?

You really don't want to talk about the fact that trump has allowed Kim Jong-un to out hustle him and get himself on the world stage without giving anything for it. Trump should have gotten a committment from him first to stop building nuclear arms. Trump got hustled, what a buffoon.

You are right - I do not want to talk about a false premise

I am trying to wrap my head around the lack of economic understanding leading up to a statement that "tariff wars are easy to win".  History tells us they were  one of the things which extended and deepened the great depression. I guess if you can't read your favorite magazine is Porn Star Monthly instead of The Economist.

It all comes down to a definition of terms. If a tariff war is being waged for national domination - that can't be easy. However, in this case I believe that the concept is to get the idea out that we will be attending to our own best interests and fully expect others to do the same. That can be a lot easier once the ground rules are understood. Remember, he is only looking for equal treatment as opposed to us looking to benefit others as has often been the case in the past. President Trump acts as the President of the USofA, not the world.

Are you trying to say that this entire mess has occurred because the entire business world has misunderstood what Trump said?  That it is the fault of every government and business in the world because they do not understand this little snowflake?

God, what have the Republicans done to my country?

No. Please report God's response.

There really is no requirement that you post a response especially when you have nothing to contribute to the discussion. Unless, of course, trolling is your passion.

Yes. a president who (per the accounts of his employees) can barely read is outside the norm. A president who sleeps with porn stars and then gets outsmarted by them is outside the norm.  A president who cannot put together a policy platform is outside the norm.  A president who is colluding with the Russians is outside the norm. Yep. Lots of norms and all this adds up to the Republicans "not having his back". That is because he is also a president who knifes his own party members in the back.

I cannot believe you are still defending this degenerate.

I hope you realize that you have allowed your anger and bias to take you off target with regards to "Why do you think he is unable to lead the Republicans?".

He ran as an outsider, he is conducting business as an outsider. He is not leading the Republicans, he is being faithful to those who elected him.

Granted, this is far from the norm. On the other hand, it might be the new norm with the emphasis on the people, not the Parties.
