How many of you have forgotten

Nobody seems to remember that we used to have "caravans" trying to invade this country. What has happened to illegal entry?
How many of you believe that it has stopped?
Here is my take. There are lots of immigrants waiting at the Mexican border to enter the US.  So, how many have we deported? how many have received entry?
And the most important question, who is paying for all of this?
Mexico is the one that has all of those people, and they have to house them and feed them. so how is that happening?
I bet that there is  deal that has been broken with Mexico to house and feed those people and the US is the one that is paying for all of that.
Too much silence about the illegals. so what in reality is happening?

My question is: "Where are the thousands of immigrant children that were taken into custody by our government and shipped all around this country?   Where are they now?  And how many have been killed by COVID and/or other misfortunes while in custody here in America?"

I can only relate what I have read -

New unaccompanied minors since March, as adults, are being sent back to their country of origin unless they can rapidly find a relative living in the US - until then they are being housed in hotels with private contractors.

NPR 08/20/2020 - Shadow Immigration System: Migrant Children Detained In Hotels By Private Contracto...

Reuters 09/11/2020 - U.S. has expelled 8,800 migrant children under coronavirus rules

CBS News 09/11/2020 - Nearly 9,000 migrant children have been expelled under pandemic border policy,...

Don't think there is much else we can do since we have a Pandemic on our hands.

From the NPR link:

The Trump administration says it's trying to protect public health during the pandemic by keeping unauthorized migrants out of detention facilities and shelters in the U.S. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issued an order in March directing immigration officials to quickly expel migrants at the southern border.

That is what you surmise, but there is not data as to where or how many have been returned to their country. no numbers no info  just policies.

Oh so casual - children are being housed in hotels....no oversight except by ICE.  Wowzer - that is quite the statement of what appears to be a very uncaring person.   Just warehouse children - no problem.

Why not look it up ?  This started back in March and has been renewed every 30 days since then with a different ending date - next update is October 21

FACT SHEET: DHS -updated 09/18/2020 - Fact Sheet: DHS Measures on the Border to Limit the Further Sp...

In order to limit the further spread of coronavirus, the U.S. has reached agreements with both Canada and Mexico to limit all non-essential travel across borders. Working closely and collaboratively, the Department of Homeland Security is part of a North American approach to stop the spread of the virus.

Additionally, CBP will no longer detain illegal immigrants in our holding facilities and will immediately return these aliens to the country they entered from – Canada or Mexico. Where such a return is not possible, CBP will return these aliens to their country of origin.

Your support article is a piece of Trump junk. The people are being sent to Mexico where they are to wait for a hearing in the US which could be and is months. While in Mexico the gangs there are taking advantage of them and it has reached a point that Org. in the US are trying to help these people. This is another form of terror by Trump and his henchmen. As far as the virus goes the people get it when they are in the USA. The virus is heavy on the US side in Texas. Just today NM put out a warning for residents not to travel to El Paso due to out of control virus.  Some have been sent back to their home country after getting in the USA and started outbreaks there.

So, how many have been deported? and how many are waiting in Mexico for asylum? and if that article is correct, by now there should not be anyone in any of the detention centers in the US?
