I find it quite sad that you still believe that BLACK PEOPLE can't think for themselves.

Using phrases like "THE DEMS THINK THEY OWN BLACKS....." not only is incorrect on its face but is a RACIST phrase IN ITSELF.

Do you not think that BLACK VOTERS can THINK FOR THEMSELVES?

If the REPUBLICAN PARTY was more WELCOMING to BLACK VOTERS; don't you think that BLACK VOTERS would comprise more than 7% of those that identify as REPUBLICANS.

By your comment above, it sounds like you think that BLACK VOTERS just go to the PARTY that is the HIGHEST BIDDER.

The comment is not racist. The Dems concept that blacks are incapable of "making it" on their own and must have special, race based programs is racist.

The Trumpettes and other teabaggers feel they are not doing as well as their parents and grandparents BECAUSE DEMS LET OTHERS "CUT IN LINE" ahead of the "real" Americans. This is a fantastic way to divide the middle class against itself by getting the less educated to think they didn't get a raise or promotion for the last 30 years because women and minorities were given special priviledges that FORCED their boss to give them the promotion that was rightfully the whate male's.

Keeps the GOPer-rubes from actually looking into the matter (studying was always a problem for them) so they won't see all the money for the raises and promotions went to the top 10% and the vast majority of that went to the top 1%. But if there was a minority or a woman who got a promotion in the last 30 years that the GOPerube knew about, that's all the proof he needs to validate the lie he was given by the Republican Propaganda Ministry.

Just look at the RW posts on this site - they rant and rave against the "47% who pay no FEDERAL income tax" and demand THOSE PEOPLE suffer tax increases before taking an additional dime from the Uberrich 1%. Never mind that half of Americans have NEVER paid Federal Income Tax because our grandparents knew it was unfair to tax money that a person needed to live a decent life.

Then there's the absurd lie that million of ILLEGAL ALIENS VOTE, also collect Social Security benefits and basically live on welfare. HOW they can do this without a valid SSN is much too hard a question for the GOPerube, besides, they already hate the non-white immigrants and this helps them justifies their racism.

Trumpettes - You are not getting ahead because you elected the crooks who wrote the laws that allowed your bosses to keep all the profits YOU create and even wrote laws to give money to those bosses who gave your job (or the job you thought you might get promoted into) to some Commie Slave in Asia.

Then they told you it was all because of immigrants and women, and you bought it.

THERE IS NO VOTER FRAUD!

There have been numerous inquiries into voter fraud over the past decade, and none of them have turned up evidence of a meaningful problem:

  • In one of the most comprehensive investigations of fraud,  Justin Levitt of Loyola Law School, Los Angeles turned up 31 credible instances of voter impersonation out of more than 1 billion votes cast between 2000 and 2014. Some of those cases may have been because of clerical errors. Levitt's investigation suggests that while voter impersonation does indeed happen, it happens so rarely that the rate is approximately one instance out of ever 32 million ballots cast. This is similar to the odds of getting “heads” 25 times in a row on a coin toss.
  • A five-year voter fraud investigation conducted by the George W. Bush administration “turned up virtually no evidence” of organized fraud,in the words of the New Yori Times.  While the investigation did yield 86 criminal convictions as of 2006, many of those appear to have been linked to people misunderstanding eligibility rules or filling out paperwork incorrectly.
  • In 2014, a two-year investigation into voter fraud by Iowa's Republican Secretary of State  yielded 27 criminal charges, a number of which, again, were apparently related to mistakes or misunderstandings of voting rules.

What HAS happened is Republicans have invented ways to disenfranchise the poor and minorities by the simple expedient of making it difficult to obtain their absurd State Issued Photo ID's.

Republicans REFUSE to consider simply issuing their precious IDs to high school students who don't already have a drivers license, and instead put the source of the ID well away from all public transportation and open only during working hours.

To compound this, they "purge the voter rolls" making sure that the ones removed are likely to vote Democrat - Wisconsin's GOPer legislature managed to eliminate nearly 200,000 voters just before the 2016 elections, and other GOPer controlled State Houses are close behind.

Republicans know they cannot win an election unless they cheat, so they ALWAYS cheat. In 2016, they even hired the RUSSIAN KGB to employ their World Class Pshycological Warefare specialists to drive more Trump voters to the polls where they cast straight-GOP ballots.

THIS (and not voting multiple times) is the source of "vote fraud" in America today.

But not a single Republican has voted to fund any defense against FUTURE ATTACKS like the ones going on as we speak to enrage the moronic and swing the 2018 elections to the radical Right Wing.

I love that Conservatives try to make this a LEFT/RIGHT issue while everyone knows it is an ISSUE related to RACE, pure and simple.

Voting is NOT A RIGHT promised in THE CONSTITUTION; yet, amendments to the document do address the restriction of one's ability to vote based on factors such as race, sex, and other factors.

It is clear that those who favor IDENTIFICATION CARDS are favoring those cards to infringe on the access certain groups have to exercise their voice through their vote.

The same arguments were used for POLL TAXES and LITERACY TESTS.

Comparing one's access to vote to one's ability to get a driver's license, use a bank, or get special discounts at a grocery store because you have a "reward card" is but a straw argument used by those attempting to restrict one specific group from exercising their vote.

As it is REPUBLICANS who are making this an issue, and since only 7% of BLACKS identify themselves as REPUBLICANS, it is quite clear to whom these ID LAWS are directed.

It is just another RACIST move made during an ADMINISTRATION that is friendly to those in the RACIST MOVEMENT.

I am so happy for you.

If you are ON BOARD with those rules and went as far as telling the rest of us that you are ON BOARD with those rules; then I judge from your posting that you think others are not ON BOARD with those rules.

So it shouldn't be hard for you to provide the following:

(1) Please provide your numerous examples of DEAD PEOPLE voting.

(2) Please provide your numerous examples of NON-CITIZENS voting.

(3) Please provide your numerous examples of DUPLICATE VOTES made by the same voter.

(4) Please provide your numerous examples of SOMEONE DIFFERENT THAN THE APPROPRIATE VOTER CASTING A VOTE because there was no IDENTIFICATION CARD.

That once rational people now believe TRUMP'S lies about MILLIONS of FRAUDULENT VOTES being cast is a threat to the very fabric of our DEMOCRACY.

It, by virtue of the accusation, minimizes and disrespects everyone's access to the polls.

It's an un-necessary fix for a non-existent problem. It's doing something for no reason

I agree with the first part, but Republicans aren't blocking the polls for no reason, and this didn't just happen, this was an organized multiple state plan to block the polls.

So why bock the polls?

To discourage or outright deny citizens the right to vote.

It's not just voter ID laws either, absentee ballots are disqualified based on the amateur hand writing analysis of an election worker.

Voters are purged from the voting registers.

Voting places are closed in the " opposition " areas.

Voting times and days are cut short.

There are not enough polling places in " opposition " districts, creating long lines.

Dirty tricks, like robo calls telling people to be sure to turn out to vote, after the election has taken place.

Democracy is under attack.

The left says there is no fraud

The left says that because the right can't show any amount of voter fraud based on identity that is statistically relevant.

Way less then 1%

Why block to polls for way less then 1%, not to stop the voter fraud that doesn't exist.

People bounce and pass bad checks all the time, they break the laws while driving all the time.

They don't break the laws while voting, not because people are just naturally angels when it comes to voting, they don't break the voting laws because the voter registration process stops them.

It's an un-necessary fix for a non-existent problem. It's doing something for no reason, and that something accidentally prevents citizens from voting, and then not backing down apologetically about it, but turning it into a bogus partisan cause, demanding it pass because for sure citizens will be prevented from voting.
