The House voted 230-183 on a measure to bar the Trump administration from granting states waivers that would ease health law requirements. The bill is one in a series of steps Democrats plan to take in the upcoming weeks.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Trump administration would be blocked from easing coverage rules required by President Barack Obama’s health care law under legislation Democrats pushed through the House on Thursday as the two parties rejoined a battle that roiled last year’s congressional elections.

Under guidance the administration issued last year, states could allow insurers to offer low-cost, low-coverage policies that could deny coverage for people with pre-existing medical conditions. Democrats said that by blocking that language, Thursday’s bill would protect patients with pre-existing conditions.

Well, that is one, itty-bitty part of the whole problems that Obamacare has -

Why not do something to help ALL Americans - start tackling MEDICAL COST.

So what if innovation slows down a bit - what good is it if it is bleeding all of us dry.

If they could all could just get together to talk - there might be more agreement than we actually realize.

Yeah - Republicans Come out of the Wood Work Using Cost Containment Promises For A Trump/GOP Healthcare Plan That Doesn't Exist

Where was the Cost Containment concerns when the Trump & the GOP gave away 2 Trillion in unfunded Tax Breaks to the top 10% right in the Middle of supposedly one of the Best Economies we've had in years

On the other hand we have a Republican Catergorizing - Taking Away Pre Existing Conditions That Are Already Protected - as a itty bitty part of the whole problem with Obamacare

itty-bitty part of the Problem - it's a LIE - 90% of Americans have some Medical Condition that Health Insurance Companies if left to their own - would classify as Pre-existing

Last time I checked - Health Insurance Compaines were not all Filing for Bankrutcy - in fact their Profits are Astronimical as are Medical Equipment Manufacturers and Pharmaceutical Company Profits - how come they aren;t being asked to join the cost containment effort?

No the only Itty-bitty Problem with Obamacare is all the itty-bitty step by step attacks and attempts by the Trump & The GOP to eliminate a Program that without the attacks was working and without the Demonizing by Republicans for No Other Reason Then it Represented Something Good Obama Accomplished

BTW - Tonight We Learn - 85% of the Medicines Sold by American Pharmaceutical Companies are being made in China & India & even Common Everyday Drugs taken by Millions of Americans are CONTAMINATED with Toxic Chemicals like Jef Fuel and guess what else - The FDA is so underfunded and understaffed they cannot keep up with Oversight and Inspections -

Now Some Will claim this if Off Topic - it isn't - Big Pharma has secretly been shipping Drug Manufacturing Offshore where their are Few Inspections and the Workers make 25 Cents a hour - where is the Money going - Drug Companies keep saving on Costs and keep raising prices

Tainted drugs: Ex-FDA inspector warns of dangers in U.S. meds made in China, India

Massoud Motamed says the FDA struggles to police the sprawling number of overseas drug manufacturers who may hide problems in their production lines.

Last year, the FDA inspected only one in five registered human drug manufacturing facilities abroad, according to agency data.

I do not understand your post. What the Admin is doing is increasing medical cost by allowing once again what is known as junk medical insurance. The ACA ended these types of policies as they supplied no coverage and increased medical cost. Anyone who has ever worked in the health insurance field knew this years ago. This is just another step by Trump to destroy the ACA which will increase costs. By the way these junk policies were restricted in some states, but not in what are now strong far right Reb. states.

Hey G - thanks for pointing out that all American Workers are being harmed by the proposals that donald wants.    There is a plan, it is called Medicare for All / Single Payer

People who are on Medicare probably don't know or care about Employer Sponsered Healthcare cost or how the cost is being shifted more and more to the employee, via increased out of pocket expense.   While some will spin this a premium cost decrease, it doesn't cut the cost of insurance.

Donald and GOP really want to go back to giving Health Insurance companies billions by eliminating the requirement to cover pre-existing conditions and offering junk policies.

The recently released CBO report is worth reading    It provides a glidepath for Single Payer, saying that the plan design is what will determine if it will be success and affordable.

PRO-LIFE is Affordable Healthcare for ALL .
