Has anyone here thought how the Corona virus may be infiltrated in the US?

We get so many things from China that how are we to know if the items that we receive from that country are safe for us her in the US?

I heard this while in the car the other day. If anyone's interested it's great. China really needs to get serious about banning wild animal markets.

OMG It would be so nice if someone could reply to a question without mentioning Trump. TDS is real.

Honored Social Butterfly

Why...trump makes himself the center of attention, demeans, and berates many people...he deserves every critique and all of the criticism that he gets!

Of that he is deserving! It would be nice if he was a better person.

The real concern is the fact that Trump has made massive cuts to CDC funding.

And even with a massive pandemic facing us, Trump proposes even more cuts to CDC funding ..... further exemplifying the urgent need to get this incompetent, moronic idiot out of office ASAP!!!

You're right, the biggest concern for us here in America is how tRump has left so many agencies under staffed, most especially the CDC which he also cut funding for. Now he wants to cut more funding on top of it.

Gotta get the money somewhere to pay for his boondoggle of a tax cut.  The one that was supposed to pay for itself only that didn't happen. *cough*

From what I have read here, it is still unclear if this virus could be transmitted by touching and infested item. and we don't even know how long that virus could live in an infested object.
I guess many of these answers will be known soon.

https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/about/transmission.html

How 2019-nCoV Spreads
Much is unknown about how 2019-nCoV, a new coronavirus, spreads. Current knowledge is largely based on what is known about similar coronaviruses. Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses that are common in many different species of animals, including camels, cattle, cats, and bats. Rarely, animal coronaviruses can infect people and then spread between people such as with MERS, SARS, and now with 2019-nCoV.

Most often, spread from person-to-person happens among close contacts (about 6 feet). Person-to-person spread is thought to occur mainly via respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes, similar to how influenza and other respiratory pathogens spread. These droplets can land in the mouths or noses of people who are nearby or possibly be inhaled into the lungs. It’s currently unclear if a person can get 2019-nCoV by touching a surface or object that has the virus on it and then touching their own mouth, nose, or possibly their eyes.

Typically, with most respiratory viruses, people are thought to be most contagious when they are most symptomatic (the sickest).

It’s important to note that how easily a virus spreads person-to-person can vary. Some viruses are highly contagious (like measles), while other viruses are less so. There is much more to learn about the transmissibility, severity, and other features associated with 2019-nCoV and investigations are ongoing. This information will further inform the risk assessment. Read the latest 2019 Novel Coronavirus, Wuhan, China situation summary.

Since trump has degraded so many Governmental Agencies, that may be a very appropriate question...and who can we trust to tell us the truth.
Would it affect trump's pseudo trade agreement with China! If so, would trump withhold information?

China made the corona virus in a lab located in Wuhan. We need to agressively look at the Chinese and investigate why they would use a biohazard against their own people!

Do you have any viable proof of this bizarre claim? Of course you don't.

Any references and sources for your claim?  Sounds like a possible right-wing conspiracy theory...
