What on earth are you talking about? I'm 87 years old. You are probably young enough to be my son.

Lower back surgery for an exploded disk, surgery on both knees, broken wrist requiring two surgeries, eight broken ribs, and two stem cell transplants have taken their toll. Low impact exercise without severe stretching or heavy lifting is enough for me now. I do thoroughly enjoy golf.

I swear out loud about what is happening to our Country, listen to smooth old jazz  (someday I tell you my Stan Getz story),  go to the barn pet cattle. I also knit fun hats for intercity kids and NYC homeless people, have done  Tia Chi for 20 years…. always helps.

Today I’m watching U tubes of Judy Garland performances.

Her singing IT NEVER WAS YOU just knocks me out.  Oh yes, after 6 I drink wine  Smiley Surprised)

Stan Getz ....... 'Little girl from Ipanema',  a soothing song !  Tia Chi is good, karate exercises are too, but I am to old for them now.

Things are so stressful,  so out of whack, what do you do to escape for time?

People ask the same question everywhere....well...at least the ones who do not find it to their immediate advantage.  There is a mock-Latin phrase, "Illegitimae non carborundum", inaccurately translated to mean, "Don't let the bastards wear you down".  Not to worry about the inaccuracies, however, its the sentiment that counts.

I took up trail hiking and kayaking this summer. Being in nature helps.

Days are short now and it's hard for me to get that in.  I just started running again. Faster work out for shorter daylight hours.

Or I should say a slowish shuffly jog, lol.  First time in 20 years.  Wears me out. Good stress relief.
