Re: GOP's Jordon Supervised ‘A cesspool of deviancy’

There is nothing in any report so far that suggests that Jordan "supervised" anything much less "A cesspool of deviancy".

This topic is no more than one more excuse to type "ignobelers", "denials", "cult", evangelicals", "followers" - all the usual meaningless jazz.

The hypocrites, aka ignoblers, are so entrenched in their ideology and myths that they would never admit that anyone in their caucus ever would do anything wrong.    That is what makes the spectacle of their denials so disbelieving.    Even athletes who say that they respect / like Jordan are miffed that he refuses to admit that he knew about the molestation going on at Ohio State in the wrestling department.

When can we call these folks a cult, because that is the same type of behavior.

Hey, even the evangelicals admit that they have failed....but weirdly, not  Jordan and none of his ignoble followers.    yep, cult.

Supervisor - overseer - authority - official - chieftain - take your pick of description, because they would all apply to an assistant coach, which Jordan was.

An assistant coach does not oversee the actions of the team doctor. And those words you used are not interchangeable with "assistant coach".

An assistant coach *should* have every concern regarding the welfare of that team that a head coach would. That's why they're there - TO ASSIST. That would include reporting any concerns raised to him by any teammate (and that number keeps growing) regarding the conduct of the team doctor, the equipment manager, or even the person who scrubs the showers.

A young assistant coach does not supervise any kind of "cesspool".

Is sexual molestation now considered paradisiacal?

 Not that I know of.

Have you considered why it is that all of a sudden, out of the blue this story popped up?

Sure, I can tell you exactly why. It's because people, like my youngest daughter WHO WAS RAPED by a person of influence, tend to keep their mouths shut about the crimes committed against them out of fear, shame and certain public ridicule (like you do), often for decades on end, until one day they finally find their voice and spill the beans.

Why do you have such a problem with people who have had crimes committed against them finally coming forward with their accounts?

My problem with this topic is twofold. First, Jordan has been in the public eye for a long time - it is only now that he seems to be become more prominent and more useful to the President's agenda that memory kicks in.

And second - the title. Jordan was not the Supervisor of anything cesspool or not.

As the politico article says, "Jordan has become the face of the controversy because of his current high profile as a leader of the hard-line conservative Freedom Caucus". I'm sure your daughter would not have liked her situation becoming a political tool.

What does time in public eye have to do with anything? Did it matter in the Cosby case? How about the O'Reilly case? The Catholic church case? Penn State case? And do you honestly believe these men cleverly and conveniently forgot what was done to them all those years ago? DiSabato, who's been in regular contact with Jordan all along, told Jordan earlier this year (well before the headlines this month) that he was going to spill the beans earlier this year, and Jordan told him to "leave me out of it." Does that sound like someone with no knowledge?

Supervisor - overseer - authority - official - chieftain - take your pick of description, because they would all apply to an assistant coach, which Jordan was.

And this from my daughter: "Only a political tool would claim to be a great defender of families, and permit sexual assaults to go unreported."
