That is the Party line, not reality.

As for promises, he has not kept some, and many are really crappy. If it’s not a good promise, why support it. Or it would appear that his supporters just support his lies.

If someone votes for a candidate, he or she does not want the promises that led to his election be declared "crappy" and therefore not worth doing.

Which of President Trump's campaign promises do you consider "crappy'?

Still waiting for Mexico to pay for the wall. Wasn’t that a promise too? Which ones does he keep?

Well, ya got me there - he was unable to get Mexico to pay for our border security. But, as I understand it, they are now helping by housing asylum applicants thereby helping with the problem of them entering, applying and then when released not returning for their hearings.

But back to the issue, he is "taking orders" if that is the correct term from the voters and that seems reasonable. It is understandable that those who opposed him would see his campaign promises as "crappy".

I believe that it would be NOT supporting the President of one's Party as he attempts to fulfill campaign promises that would endanger a Member of Congress's future.

Not when a president is alienating all of our allies and bowing to the wants of Putin, Russia, and China. It is a shame that any Congress member's future could be threatened by a minority or radical far right trump supporters or the
Alt-Right.

What has "alt-right" to do with this? Do you think they care if Trudeau or Macron is happy with our President?

Have you considered the possibility that he is responding to the campaign promises he made to his voters?

I know - strange, but consider it.

Political Campaign - A political campaign is an organized effort which seeks to influence the decision making process within a specific group.

President of the USA - The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States; he may require the Opinion, in writing, of the principal Officer in each of the executive Departments, upon any Subject relating to the Duties of their respective Offices, and he shall have Power to Grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offences against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment.

He shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur; and he shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States, whose Appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by Law: but the Congress may by Law vest the Appointment of such inferior Officers, as they think proper, in the President alone, in the Courts of Law, or in the Heads of Departments.

The President shall have Power to fill up all Vacancies that may happen during the Recess of the Senate, by granting Commissions which shall expire at the End of their next Session.

He shall from time to time give to the Congress Information on the State of the Union, and recommend to their Consideration such Measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient; he may, on extraordinary Occasions, convene both Houses, or either of them, and in Case of Disagreement between them, with Respect to the Time of Adjournment, he may adjourn them to such Time as he shall think proper; he shall receive Ambassadors and other public Ministers; he shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed, and shall Commission all the Officers of the United States.

I searched the US Constitution - it says nothing about the US President having any obligation to keep a single Campaign Promise!

Also - Not a Single Reference of a requirement to take the Advice of Fanatical Right Wing Conservative Republican Pundits and/or Talk Show Hosts

Mick, nice touch!

Do you suppose trump has ever read that? Or even cares?

Besides, didn’t he promise that Mexico would pay for the wall?

Can’t keep a promise (not required), and can’t respect the office of the presidency (should be required).

And lets conservative talk show hosts and foreign dictators set policy...he’s not in control of his office, or himself! Nor thinks much of our country.
