Trump and the GOP in the US Congress keep talking about - INFRASTRUCTURE

Dollars to Donuts - IF any Infrastructure Project ever gets approved - like every other one over the last 35 years - the Lions Share of the Money will be Spent - Re-Paving Roads..................WHY - well it's a real visible easy to point to project for Politicians.........but it's More Idiocy

Solar Roads can be used as the Countries Electrical Grid - for Road Signage - Report Traffic Conditions and Accidents and it last years and years longer than Petroleum Based Asphalt Roads

Me too.  So how come it is we put guys in charge who have no real interest in defining AND resolving the 'real' problem, but profit off dealing with the symptoms?  That question is not intended for you, good sir.

Einstein said "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results".

That would be the guys who put the guys 'in charge', wouldn't you say?....So who IS that?

Now..some of those who did that do fit that criteria, to be sure, but what do you do about the one's who know full well what it is they're doing and do it anyway?  That certainly is what the political 'base' seems to do.  Republicans especially.  "Why" do you suppose that might be?

1. While I agree 100% that All US Tax Payers Should Not Have To Keep Paying Over & Over Again To Rebuild Disaster Prone Areas.............................the messaging is my own

2. All Americans should also refuse to continue paying Higher & Higher Electric Bills Because The Utility Companies and the US Government Refuse to bring US Utility Infrastructure into the 21st Century - putting Wires/Cables for Electricity - Alarms - Internet - Cable TV - 40 Feet up in the Air on Wooden Poles just to have them knocked down by Winds - Heavy Wet Snow - Vehicle Accidents............Over & Over & Over & Over................is the stuff IDIOTS are defined by

Especially when there is a reasonable simple alternative - put them underground

A. The City of Boston has been putting all their Utilities Underground for 150 years

B. Putting Utilities Underground today is Expensive but it only needs to be done ONCE

C. How much do you think it cost Electricity Consumers in the US to Send Tens of Thousands of Electrical Crews and Their Equipement from all over the Country to Texas and Florida - remember the cost includes - daily salary for the workers - overnight lodging in 3 Star Hotels - Meals - Etc

The Way Hensarling Framed his response was Ludricous but the issue needs to be addressed

A Republican congressman says the U.S. government can’t keep paying to repair homes that are repeatedly damaged by floods.

On Thursday’s broadcast of CNBC’s “Squawk Box,” Rep. Jeb Hensarling (R-Texas) claimed that the “federal government is encouraging and subsidizing people to live in harm’s way.”

After citing a $60,000 Baton Rouge property that received almost $500,000 in public money after it flooded 40 times, the chairman of the House Financial Services Committee added, “At some point, God is telling you to move.”

Hensarling’s comments, which were aimed at encouraging an overhaul of what he described as the “bankrupt” National Flood Insurance Program, did not go down well on Twitter:
