Fox, Putin, Benghazi, "look over there" - must be hitting a raw nerve there.

On the other hand, I am sure we all agree that the politicization of the IRS is not a good thing. So, since the question is hanging out there, you'd think everyone would like to clear the air.

Unless.........????  Surely there isn't some "meat" out there, right??

How about using some of the resources investigating current problems instead of continuing to beat a dead horse? The only reasons to push this 'investigation' is to either take the heat off the Republicans or to admit the Republicans were incompetent the first time(s) or both.

I agree. All this :scandal" and "investigation" jazz has gotten out of control. Both sides are playing dueling investigations. But, it is not right to only be concerned with one side's actions.

As to first time around - it is possible that the Dems were very, very good at hiding stuff, like erased official IRS emails.

It seems like there was little disagreement from the right about the endless 'investigations' as long as it was only Democrats being investigated.

It is not both sides playing this game, this is solely on the Republicans. They have spent countless time and dollars investigating and re-investigating Democrats with every investigation resulting in a finding of no crime. Now when there is a real concern - expressed by both Democrats and Republicans - of a foreign power interfering in our democracy the Republicans want to ignore it.

You say "it is not right to only be concerned with one side's actions" but your posts show that you really don't support that statement.

Based upon your last paragraph it appears that you are going with 'the Republicans are incompetent'.

I am agreeing with you and you still want to fight. Why do you want to fight - discussing is much more satisfying.

As to the last para - read it again, I was praising the Dems skills at hiding stuff. If that means they can snooker the Reps and you think that is good - so be it.

The air was cleared three years ago.

Trump knows he's sinking and is grabbing at anything to take the attention off of himself.

Snoopy48

Must be all these private laws he's putting into place to strip people of their rights and all these bombings aren't enough to detract from the fact that he is under federal investigation.  So yeah let's pull another red herring out of the water and see if it flies.

Trump is  A danger to all that is good in this country.

Gee, I miss having a real President!!

"The legislators, who sit on the tax policy-writing ways & means committee said a new probe of the IRS would help restore taxpayers trust in the institution."

Taxpayers trust in the institution, what a laugh. This looks just like another GOP dog and pony probe in the vein of Benghazi.

"...Russell George, Treasury’s inspector general for tax administration, said they were asked by House Oversight Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) “to narrowly focus on Tea Party organizations.”

GOP Lawmakers Ask AG Sessions for 'Fresh Look' at Lois Lerner Case

READ MORE HERE:

Here you got a 3 year old concern that has been settled long ago but because DUFUS TRUMP has embarrassed his party and has scared the rest of the world half out of their wits; the Republicans had to come up with some type of diversion.

No wonder that there is no attribution here because the report is from FOX NEWS better known as Faux News because of its constant errors, misdirections, and distorted conclusions.

In fact, the only three entities reporting this are FOX NEWS, the White Nationalist WORLD NET DAILY, and the WASHINGTON TIMES that is owned by The Moonies Cult.
