CeeTee, you are correct....that's what happens when the uneducated vote based on Fox faux news....rk falsely suggests you mentioned "re-education" camps, but clearly one needs to be educated to be "re-educated".....simple history books or documentaries would be useful.

According to ct the major problem in America today is stupid people who support our President (the deplorables). And yet, our Constitution grants us "low IQ" or "lofo" folks the right to vote. So - if not reeducation camps, what?

And then a long screed on your fascination with Germany in the '30s.

"Following the Reichstag fire, the Nazis began to suspend civil liberties and eliminate political opposition. The Communists were excluded from the Reichstag. At the March 1933 elections, again no single party secured a majority. Hitler required the vote of the Centre Party and Conservatives in the Reichstag to obtain the powers he desired. He called on Reichstag members to vote for the Enabling Act on 24 March 1933. Hitler was granted plenary powers "temporarily" by the passage of the Act.[82] The law gave him the freedom to act without parliamentary consent and even without constitutional limitations.[83]

Adolf Hitler addressing the Reichstag on 23 March 1933. Seeking assent to the Enabling Act, Hitler offered the possibility of friendly co-operation, promising not to threaten the Reichstag, the President, the States or the Churches if granted the emergency powers.

Employing his characteristic mix of negotiation and intimidation, Hitler offered the possibility of friendly co-operation, promising not to threaten the Reichstag, the President, the States or the Churches if granted the emergency powers. With Nazi paramilitary encircling the building, he said: "It is for you, gentlemen of the Reichstag to decide between war and peace".[82] The Centre Party, having obtained promises of non-interference in religion, joined with conservatives in voting for the Act (only the Social Democrats voted against)."

Sounds eerily familiar.....

I'd love for them to read about history, or even watch documentaries which are all over TV, showing how Hitler took power, eroded freedom of the press, and then went after law enforcement. Unfortunately, because Trump supporters are not into thinking, reading, or doing research (sound like anyone we know?), it's not going to happen.

Well, rk doesn't know about the rest of those low IQ people you want in reeducation camps, but as for rk, he has studied history and, as a result, he realizes that all this Nazi nonsense is no more than "group think" by the cult of hatred who still have not gotten over the disappointment they experienced in the last elections.

He knows that President Trump has spoken out for a true "free press", not one committed to the "Resistance". He supports the police daily and he is trying to restore the credibility of the federal agencies that had been politicized by the Obama Administration.

rk hopes he measures up to your lofty standards.

One cannot help but wonder what ct's solution for those low IQ folks might be. The people he/she/it obsesses over (Hitler and Vlad) had their ways. Might ct be more gentle and just have "reeducation camps"?

It has actually be thought in the past in this country. Here is an example:

The press is to serve the governed, not the governors. Only a free and unrestrained press can effectively expose deceptioin in government. Paramount among the responsibilities of a free press is the duty to prevent any part of the government from deceiving the people."

You seem to have misunderstood the President. He was totally agreeing with you as well as Justice Black. He was pointing out that the desired and needed free press is not present in much of the MSM.

Especially on Fox News.

That is what he The Donald doesn't like, the truth being told. He wants to control the press to write just what lies he wants printed.
If anyone does not see this as a dictator like other Countries w/dictators who control the press and radio they are really lost and can't be saved. Once if ever The Donald becomes a Dictator they will then be sorry and realize what a mistake they made because we will ALL then become ONE under his rule, no party , just him.
I for one am scared this is where our Country is headed, and The Republicans are helping him without even realizing it.

It is understandable that anyone with such an overactive and negative imagination would spend their days quivering in fear and praying for Divine assistance.

That's why Trump hates it and has been trying to undermine it as biased and fake. He's a deeply stupid man, but he understands that being scrutinized by the press is not only embarrassing, but threatening.

I agree....

Some just want to ignore the fascist like behavior of the cult leader....  Next thing you know he'll demand everyone stand at attention and salute, or place their hand over their heart when the star-spangled banner plays......WAIT!!!  He already did....
