I agree.....Conservatives are just being Conservatives.....still living the "good old days" of the past and expect the world to reside with them there.  Most are far more forward thinking.....

What has the Paris agreement to do with understanding the value of solar?? There is nothing to prevent us from developing it, using it, selling it. We do not need an international agreement to do that.

And that is not just "Trumpette" or Conservative thinking - that is just plain ol' common sense.

Unless one of you guys (generic) can show why we need an international agreement to develop solar I believe we can put that thought to bed.

You are correct, it will take more than the states.  And I just was sent a petition to sign opposing Trump's budget plan to gut the NOAA.  That is the orginization who have the guage measuring sea level rise in Golden Meadow La.  His planis to destroy the evidence.

Sorry rker....WE do not KNOW he won't be there by then.  That way of looking at things put him where he is now.  "Lest we forget".

Let us also not forget that everyday he remains there, he damages our institutions, our standing in the world, the future of our children, the future of our children's children and so on ad infinitum.

He has help.  We CAN do something about that.  2018 is the first real opportunity.  Look at it this way....maybe if we do, what 'the donald' has done and will continue to do WON'T matter much. But only IF.

The death of even the smallest sparrow does not go unremarked in the inevitable march of time.

Trump has only been in office since January and he is responsible for all that?

There is a gauge just below Golden Meadows locks near Grand Isle.  It shows just how much the Gulf has risen in the past few years.  NOAA is the organization who monitors the rise and it is a gradual but steady rise that to the novice doesn't seem like much but Louisiana and Texas can spend all the money they want on restoring the coast and nothing will work until this rise is stopped by Addressing Global Warming.  It doesn't take much of a rise to do a lot of damage.  Yes Big Oil has done their damage but a Conservative judge threw out the suit our Governor had against Big Oil.

You wouldn't expect a museum dedicated to the coal industry to run on anything other than coal,  but a mining museum in Kentucky is soon to be solar powered. The Kentucky Coal Mining Museum

in Benham, owned by Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College, is switching to solar power to save money. The museum, which memorializes Kentucky's history in coal mining, is modernizing with a new form of cheaper energy.

Communications director Brandon Robinson said the project "will help save at least eight to ten thousand dollars, off the energy costs on this building alone."

That's hilarious...

Thanks for sharing this info, CeeTee....very telling.

People of Louisiana are doing the same thing the people of Texas are doing. Voting for deniers who see no further than their noses.
