Well of course the FBI was doing it's job the way it was supposed to - by having an informant in the trump camp.

Was there one in the Clinton camp?

Of course there was.

So why isn't Hillary acting like trump?

Easy peasy - unlike trump - Hillary doesnt have a guilty conscience and a bunch of people who were associated with or part of her campaign staff who have been indicted for criminal acts - and shazam! - None of the people involved in any way with Hillary's campaign and it's staff have pled guilty and cut a deal with any investigators...

Must be giving extreme right fringe trumpetoonie loonies considerable butthurt every time they don't manage to get a special investigator assigned to investigate Hillary, her staff and campaign...

Remember - Benghazi Butt Hurt creme will work for the current kind of butt hurt just fine...

What has that to do with the topic or previous (unquoted) posts?

Or are you just having another bad day?

not if you read the last part of the quote in which he says the president was not involved.

Not really surprising to me. He's not running and I think he's trying to sanitize his image by distancing himself from Trump to boost his job prospects post congress. Being one of Trump's water boys isn't helpful.

It's nice to see a Conservative CongressCritter act like the country is more important than a lying, racist and bigoted president.

FBI was right to deploy informant, senior GOP lawmaker says

So, not even the Republicans will back up the "Spygate" (Spy VS Spy?) fantasy Trump is trying to peddle.  I keep trying to figure out if Trump's argument is "we did nothing wrong" or "you should not have been allowed to catch us".   It is starting to look like the latter argument and even Trey says that is bull.

Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) said last week’s briefing, convened by the Justice Department under pressure from Trump, convinced him even further that the FBI’s information-gathering steps were appropriate.

“I am even more convinced that the FBI did exactly what my fellow citizens would want them to do when they got the information they got,” he said in an interview on Fox News. He added that the information also suggested that the effort had “nothing to do with Donald Trump.”
