Those that paid the most (taxes) will save the most. Sounds reasonable to anyone that's reasonable.

yup. People have no clue what these tariffs will do to the ecomomy. ALL CARS will be affected. Housing will get smacked ( lumber) . Gas prices are going up anyway. The stock market is on a phony high..most businesses used the tax cut to pump up their stocks.and its ALREADY receding badly because of the tariff threat. remember what ol bushie allowed to happen to the economy? same bottom line this time around.. the little guy loses property in the deal, and the wealthy snap it up and rent it back.

So it begins.

It would appear that some only see things from their own circumstances rather than a broader picture. You probably remember the term "tunnel vision" from your days in HR.

Obama toughened labor laws to a enable more people to get overtime pay. Trump overturned it. Is that how much yer boi cares for the working man? eliminating regulations that make your boss provide safe air to breathe at work. and those taxes? they changed the amount of money with held in your pay check... so say goodbye to your refund.

So it begins.

South Carolina is in for a world of hurt if average new car prices go up $5,000 each and BMW starts laying off workers. @tempermental........BMW has peaks and valleys. They use a temp. service for a large portion of their workers. Most who go through this service realize that they are probably working for a period of 8 months or so during this round of employment. Many of them do this on a regular basis. The pay is good for the area and there are those who want to work for a period and fish the rest of the time. Not nearly as many BMWs seen in this area as there are Toyotas and Hondas. I will share this: A friend told me that some of his family owned the property BMW is now on. I imagine that family received a very large price for the land.

My husband got a big increase, he gets Soc Sec and his increase is a P.T. job as a senior. I don't know what will happen when that job runs out, it's been a life saver for us.
Yes, his increase is a PART TIME job, nothing that The Donald has done at all.

We just paid $45 for a pound of Maryland crab meat. Trumps restrictions on guest workers has devastated the local crabbing industry. Do you think many people will pay that when they can get the foreign stuff for $25 a pound?

South Carolina is in for a world of hurt if average new car prices go up $5,000 each and BMW starts laying off workers.

Both areas are largely Trump voters.

Paul Ryan tweets about woman's $1.50 pay increase in tax overhaul, then deletes it

House Speaker Paul Ryan sent a tweet Saturday morning calling out a teacher's comments in an Associated Press article saying she has already seen a $1.50 increase per pay period since the tax overhaul. But the tweet was quickly mocked and Wisconsin Republican deleted his tweet within hours.

In a tweet sent at 11:51 a.m., Ryan linked to an Associated Press article about workers starting to see increase in their paychecks from the GOP's tax bill. He wrote "a secretary at a public high school in Lancaster, PA, said she was pleasantly surprised her pay went up $1.50 a week ...  she said [that] will more than cover her Costco membership for the year."

Working families are seeing a minimal amount in their paychecks if any at all. Most saw about a $16 increase per week in their paycheck. The increase in gas prices ate that "savings" up right away.

I am glad you brought up housing. "SPANKY" Trump's tariffs will increase the cost of housing because lumber, aluminum, and steel will cost exponentially more. Even public housing rents under the tutelage of Ben "the pyramids were grain storage bins" Carson would be increasing 20% with his MORE AFFORDABLE HOUSING WORK ACT.

Food, across the board, is going to rise as imports like pork and fruit, will see the tariffs affect their cost. The tariffs on aluminum will affect food packaging cost.

The economy under Trump, once running like a locomotive, has come to a complete stop due to this idiot's voodoo economics.

If you haven't noticed, under the tax bill, the RICH got RICHER and the POOR got POORER.

Now, with "SPANKY'S" voodoo economics, the POOR will get POORER still.
