MY COMMENT:

Now I remember where I have seen this before...  I can't think of a country where this really worked out all that well for the "working people".

It also reminds me of the book/movies "Atlas Shrugged"....  It was all in the name of "fairness".

Just my opinion of course but I don't think this will work in the USA...

This is hilarious (and spot on) from conservative Bruce Bartlett.

If the Democratic ideal is Denmark, then the wanker ideal is Somalia--no government and everyone has a gun.

The real question is - where is the documentation to prove that Olderscout66 is wrong?
You got proof of a higher quality than meaningless yammering and flapping lips?

You haven't paid in your entire lifetime what I pay in estimated taxes for one quarter and that's why you seek other people's money - you don't have yours and you want mine and others! Keep up the good try. I don't see your handouts getting any bigger in the future.

Keep up the begging and moaning!

That would be the European Union, population 503 Million, all of whom have free health care, free college educations, fantastic public transportation, world's best R&D, lower crime rates, shorter workweeks, earlier secure retirement and less poverty than the America the Republicans have created by stopping us from moving in the direction of Europe.

I see the key element in your post - "FREE". That is just what the radical left wants is FREE, with someone else paying their share! Aren't YOU capable of towing your own dead weight?

Having paid more tax in a single year than you have in your worthless lifetime I find your comment not only offensive, but absurd. The "someone else" who pays for all those things in the EU is "everybody else", which is why rational people form societies, unlike Republicans who detest social involvement and seek only to destroy anything not built to make a profit for the builders.

Free? You joke!

I know that many on the radical left think they can get free this and free that.... Is that why you seem to belong to that group?

Gee, I must be a right winger like you like to call people because I have never gotten a free anything in my life
So I guess that I am not of the radical left.

The rwnj's cannot seem to understand that the other developed countries all spend significantly less on per capita health care, and they get better results. When "socialism" works better than capitalism, we should consider socialism.

The health care systems in the EU are as far from socialist as Ayn Rand is from reality.

What they do that we do not is to control the amount of profit that can be extracted from the customers.

Their insurance companies, hospitals, doctors, pharmaceutical companies and care units all make a profit, their doctors all make fantastic salaries and everybody gets heath care and nobody ever goes bankrupt because they got sick.

But Republicans oppose going for a European solution because it will reduce the profits for their owners. Solution is to get Republicans out of the decision making process by giving them the minority status in Government their numbers and ideas warrant.
