@mickstuder

The power and control of the Democratic leadership was evident in the 2016 primaries when it sidetracked Bernie Sanders (they did this by apparent falsifying the primary results from the various states) in favor of the party's favorite and choice, Hillary Clinton, who was actually nominated by the party leadership through this method and the super delegates who was party faithfuls.

Then there was the party faithful, still putting party over country, who still is wanting to do away from the individual states by electoral votes electing the President to a method where the populous states would do so.  These states happen to be Democratic orientated.  Thus party over country.

And there is still those party faithful putting party over country; party over Constitutional procedures.

I too, couldn't make the connection. Thanks for clearing that up.

Refusing to do business with airlines and arenas, to me, sounds like a mob shakedown. Now I can see why AOC is so upset.

I'm reading about this policy. Can someone explain why this matters to political vendors? What actually are the benefits of being on the DCCC approved vendor list? And what benefit is there to candidates to use those vendors? Did successful challengers like AOC and Ayanna Pressley use approved vendors, wondering what the actual impact is, beyond philosophical disagreements with the policy?

Sure - if @Amypp wants to run as a Democrat for the US House - No Major Advertiser is Allowed to support your Campaign.....................not Nike - Coca Cola - Liberty Mutual - TD Ameritrade - NO ONE  - Not Madison Square Garden - The Rose Bowl or the Podunk VFW

If they were to support you or accept your Campaign Ads - then the DCCC would refuse to spend any of the Hundreds of Millions they receive in the forum of Campaign Contributions with any of the Advertisers who sponsored you - took money from you - or who allowed you to use their Venue

In other words - if Coke sponsored you - Democratic Incumbents would not buy Cokes advertising

If you rented out the Boston Garden for a Campaign Rally - The DCCC would not rent out the Boston Garden for the Rallys of Any Democratic Incumbent

If American Airlines flew you and your Campaign Staff across the County to go to your own Campaign Event - The DCCC would not spend any Money advertising or Flying with American Airlines

If you did a Town Hall with CNN - The DCCC would not do any Advertising on CNN or provide their Incumbent Candidates to CNN for Interviews

You know - democracy - The Democratic Process is being Corrupted in Plain Site by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee - TO PROTECT THE RE-ELECTION OF CONGRESSIOANL INCUMBENTS

EVERY AMERICAN SHOULD BE OUTRAGED

Mick,

Will have to watch as this evolves. Have not heard of this policy yet. But, I do remember the friction caused by the interaction of the Dem party, Bernie, and Hillary. At this point, I don’t want the Dems to form a circular firing squad, and potentially snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Thanks for bringing this forward.

Here Are The FACTS

1. The American political system is dominated by a two-party duopoly that uses its control over election laws to suppress challenges to its power.

2. “Perhaps the clearest case of overt partisan manipulation of [election] rules is the United States, where Democrats and Republicans appear automatically on the ballot, but third parties and independents have to overcome a maze of cumbersome legal requirements,”

3. Unfortunately for our republic, the House Democratic leadership signaled Thursday that it believes democracy has no place within the Democratic Party. As the National Journal reports:

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is making an early move to deter primary challenges against sitting incumbents in the caucus with a new policy aimed in part at protecting the new majority.

The campaign arm on Friday sent out a list of hiring standards to more than 100 political firms, including one provision that made clear it will neither contract with nor recommend to House candidates any political vendors that work to oust sitting members of Congress.

The new protocol, intentionally debuted early in the off-year before most campaign hiring begins, presents a stark financial deterrent to the country’s top firms that provide essential services ranging from polling to TV advertising to strategy. It could cripple would-be primary opponents’ ability to entice top talent to join their staff. The DCCC independent-expenditure arm doles out millions in contracts to consultants and drives more revenue toward them by connecting campaigns with vetted operatives.

So now the System in Congress will be Rigged just like the Democratic Machine rigged the Presidential Primary Election for Clinton and against Sanders

BUSINESS RELATIONSHIPS AND TERMS:

The core mission of the DCCC is electing House Democrats, which includes supporting and protecting incumbents. To that end, the DCCC will not conduct business with, nor recommend to any of its targeted campaigns, any consultant that works with an opponent of a sitting Member of the House Democratic Caucus.

DIVERSITY:

The DCCC’s diversity mission is to reflect the diversity of the country, which strengthens our core mission of electing House Democrats. The DCCC strives to create an inclusive environment that cultivates and supports diversity at every organizational level, including through its vendors, contractors, and subcontractors.

To that end, to be considered as a DCCC vendor and to be placed on the DCCC approved vendor list that will be shared with its targeted campaigns, a political vendor must report on the following items:
