The polls make a good case says Politifact. Numbers are numbers.

But then, Politifact moves on to opinion -- "What if...."

Bernie's numbers started out rather weak early in the year of 2016. As he gained national recognition, his poll numbers climbed higher, as voters knew him better and saw where he stands on the issues. Bernie never hid from his views. He stated from day one that he was running as a Democratic Socialist. His poll numbers continued to climb.

Liberty University was founded by the late televangelist Jerry Falwell. It is one of the most conservative Evangelical schools in the United States and has been a frequent stop for many Republican candidates.
Bernie Sanders became the first Democratic presidential candidate ever to make a stop at Liberty University’s weekly convocations.

An Independent himself,  Bernie's real strength was winning over independents which is needed to win general elections. In a year of the electorate rejecting staus quo candidates (refer to Jeb) the country was primed for Bernie. Instead, they took a chance and accepted Trump.

Bernie would have been the Democratic candidate had  it not been for the inappropriate and irresponsible manipulations of Deborah Wasserman Schultz.   And, personally, I think he would’ve won by a landslide.

Gee, I miss having a real president!

Obviously, no one has the crystal ball nor tarot cards to know but who knows what 2020 might reveal.

TY, those polls you present are impressive evidence for your case.

I refer you to

for counter arguments, but your case is not weak.

I don't like disagreeing with you, and fortunately, I don't have to do it often.

I do not believe that Bernie (and I respect him) would have won the nomination in any case, and I think he would have lost the general election in a landslide.

Not according to all these polls....

Bernie was clearly the favorite among the general population.

Bernie - America's most popular member of Congress according to polls.

@xrepub—LOL! I think Biden would have won too. One wonders if Beau hadn’t died what forward strides our country would have made in this last year, rather than the slide backward it has taken under trump.

Back to the Sanders thing, we must agree to disagree! No harm, no foul!

Gee, I miss having a real president!

Now, about those disasters - is it the revitalized stock market, housing market, employment figures, or is it standing up for American at the corrupt UN? Might it be securing our national borders? Could it be the tax cuts that at least 80% of our tax payers will be getting? Or maybe it is the disaster to the antisemites of standing up for Israel as opposed to the Muslim Brotherhood as his predecessor did.

Now RK  you were doing rather well, until, you brought up your antisemitism stance  in which  you blame the world against Israel.
It has become rather funny to see that now. everything is a problem between Israel and the UN and the World  and anyone that doesn't agree with your notion of where the Capital should be.

Do you see the UN as supportive of Israel? The move is just a tool used by the antisemites.
If you really would like to be fair, you will see that most of everyone really don't like the Muslim Brotherhood.
But, I guess you need to say things like that to augment your argument against the common sense approach of a 2 State solution.

Did you read the post I was responding to?
I may ask, what are you afraid of? that Jerusalem will never be the Capital of Israel? that Jerusalem will be part of Palestine?
Why do you keep insisting in any of this?

Did you read the post I was responding to?
There is no antisemitism. no one wants to see Israel out of existence.  don't you believe that, and if not why?

70 years of history. That is and has been the goal of Israel's "neighbors".
Are you afraid of the extinction of the Jewish race?
Please, start seeing that the world has no intention of obliterating Israel. and that people in reality don't care that much about Israel, people care about the things that affect them.
Try to get some perspective and reflect.
Focus - this is about the words of Ms. Haley and a rant by scout - not your assumptions about me.

"Focus" - translation - I'm trying to avoid having this thread face and deal with the real world - something that conservatives/republicans don't deal at all well with...

The topic of Nikki Haley is a different topic thread - not this topic thread - but pretending otherwise is good right wing crackpot avoidance/diversion technique/strategy...
