Graham, Grassley Join Calls For A Second Special Counsel To Probe Obama’s DOJ, FBI

'They cannot be counted on to investigate themselves'

Republican Sens. Lindsey Graham and Chuck Grassley explained Thursday their call for another special counsel to investigate the Department of Justice and the FBI for their handling of Hillary Clinton email probe and the ongoing Russia probe.

Graham and Grassley, along with Republican Sens. John Cornyn and Thom Tillis, sent a signed letter to Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein on Thursday, saying that another special prosecutor to work independently with the Inspector General was necessary to determine whether or not the two government agencies acted properly throughout the aforementioned investigations.

In a sit-down interview with Bret Baier on Fox News, Graham said the investigation into Clinton’s illegal use of a private, unsecured e-mail server to conduct government business during her tenure as secretary of state was “shoddily done” and riddled with “conflicts of interest and political bias that made have resulted in giving Clinton a pass.”

Demand Grows for Second Special Counsel from Senate

If your entire knowledge of news and information are radical right wing conspiracy theories eminating from Donald Trump, of course you're demanding a 2nd Special Counsel. Based upon your source of propgaganda, you also want to undermine and destroy the FBI and our Intelligence Agencies.

If you are part of the real world, have character, and live by the rule of law, you are patiently waiting for the impeccable Robert Mueller and his outstanding team to complete their investigation of the Trump Campaign and Administration.

You also respect and admire both the FBI and our intelligence agencies. Trump Cult members should hang their heads in shame at their despicable defense of a corrpupt, immoral man, and would be dictator.

Haven't I seen this subject posted by you a number of times by now? Looks like the leaders really are getting to rock bottom on what to have the followers (enablers) post to distract people from the real news.

Here is what we should be talking about. Trump brags to Reb. big money donors how he just made up things when he had a meeting with the Canadian PM. Trump thought that was great, and too funny. Well at least one of the donors had some sense and recorded it then gave it to the press. That tells us there was at least one thinking person attending. Our mentally impaired President given to us by the far right enablers. We have Germany in the1930 all over again.

By the numbers:

1. What is a "Reb."?

2. What has the Canadian PM to do with the topic?

3. How is Germany in the '30s a factor in possible corruption of the Obama Administration?

4. To quote you, "answer my questions".

You are asking questions again and you are not permitted to do that. Samo Samo

May I please see your badge Deputy.

Once you answer the questions. I only show it to thinking people.

So lots of neoRepublicans wanting to intimidate the Special Council who's been indicting all their friends and supporters.

Sounds like Goering's complaints about the bias in the judges at Nuremberg.

Yes, there are sources that lean right and sources the lean left. As such, it is certainly wise to check further into their articles. However, to automatically discount information based on the source and without discussion is hardly "discussing".

And as to "moot" - I can't agree. Information and source are separate issues.

While I agree that there are certainly sources that lean right and sources that lean left; these sources still report information in a legitimate journalistic manner. That is not what I am talking about here.

I am talking about the BRIETBARTS, THE DAILY CALLERS, THE SARACARTERS, and all the rest where their articles are NOT about information gathering and dissemination BUT are written as a "means to an end". In a sense, these media outlets are, at best, propaganda.

And that is where some on this board have gone wrong. They have appropriated these PROPAGANDA sites and try to display them as LEGITIMATE OUTLETS for REAL JOURNALISTIC CONTENT.

I, and others, don't have time to wade through this propagandized minutiae to find maybe one tidbit of truth.

That some use these sites as their sole source for "information" is sad.

Senate Republicans are 'shopping' for a special council who they can get to do their will. It reminds me of how people sometimes shop for a doctor to perform an unnecessary surgery or medical procedure for them.

Tic toc closer to trum, tic toc closer to trump, tic toc closer to trump ...........

If the FBI and the Justice department were investigating a democrat president the Right would be silent, including the Senate Republicans. But because this is about investigations leading to trump naturally those investigating are corrupt according to the Lying Right.

Mind reading is not your strong suit.

There are 'Trumpy Bears' for sale for $19.99,  a real product made for Trump supporters. If you have an issue with them being childish, then contact the manufacturers and those selling them.

Speaking of "strong suits" ............. recognizing the truth isn't yours.

Yes, I do bring it up because the source and the information are two separate things

The source's interpretation of information forever links source and information; thus your statement above is rendered moot.

Again, @jimc91's links do not confirm, validate, or substantiate ANYTHING as they are posts from fringe media where the only corroboration is other fringe media; and, many times there isn't even that.

Yes, there are sources that lean right and sources the lean left. As such, it is certainly wise to check further into their articles. However, to automatically discount information based on the source and without discussion is hardly "discussing".

As to the sources used for collaboration - certainly you don't verify moveon.com with Progressive Daily but, again, to simply refuse to consider the information is not "discussing".

And as to "moot" - I can't agree. Information and source are separate issues.

Does that mean that the following is not true:

"Ranking Republican senators are calling on the Department of Justice to appoint a second special counsel to investigate potential abuses by FBI and Justice Department employees connected to their role in the investigation into President Trump"?

Yep, the FBI, the Justice Department, all the courts are against your trumpy bear.

I do not have a trumpy bear (actually that sounds a bit juvenile) but in any case to you believe that the words quoted are not true because of the source?

It really is amazing how much of Trump's incompetence as well as his collusion with the Russians are explained away with a simple conspiracy theory.  You can almost hear them saying "Our precious snowflake has done nothing wrong.  All those things are false because his teachers just don't like him"

The discussion has to do with whether or not information can be real if you do not like the source. The "incompetence" involved is posters that cannot deal with information they would rather not have to deal with so they attack the source - in big bold print.

Maybe we need a special council to investigate those "Ranking Republican Senators" calling for a special council !!!!
