"Tax cut? What tax cut? The middle-class tax relief that President Trump promised voters before the midterm elections has all but vanished from the conversation in Washington.

On Oct. 22, Mr. Trump said the White House and congressional Republicans would be “putting in a resolution sometime in the next week or week and a half, two weeks.”  “We’ll do the vote after the election,” Mr. Trump said of the tax cut, which he described at numerous rallies as a 10 percent cut for middle-class workers. But since Election Day, there’s been no movement in the House Ways and Means Committee, where tax legislation starts. Nor was the tax cut mentioned in the wake of a closed meeting between the president and top Senate Republicans late last week on their priorities for the remainder of the year."

Isn't both Medicare and Social Security covered by the taxes specially for these purposes? All of which are the social programs you were complaining about and which you have supported.  By tax cuts for the rich are you referring to those who can afford condos in Colorado ski areas or beach houses in South Carolina? Tax cuts for the weathy while your in debt and fighting two wars, e.g. Bush and the most wealthy, e.g. Trump.  Obviously you supported both.  And as usual, your claims about other posters are wrong again.

Nope. Medicare is self sufficient, however when the guberment adds medicaid ... there you go.
SS needs some minor changes to increase solvency.

First, thank you for responding....it's appreciated.  It's not a trick question.

"Do you vote for the person who gets you what you want? Or the person who is best for the country? They are not usually one in the same?

No they are not and yes they are.  Is that one answer to the 3rd question?
I vote for local candidates who support my local core beliefs, which do not parallel national interests. Understood.  School board, Sheriff, County Commissioners, etc. I live in a rural area of FL and TN so my needs are very different than someone from NYC or urban areas and I'm more aligned with other rural areas in the southern states.  Makes sense.
I vote in national elections for candidates who offer to support my core beliefs as it relates to the country. I believe in priorities not ideologies.  So for you, your core beliefs are the priorities?  Uh....ok.

How do you vote?  I vote for the candidate that IMO will serve the needs the best of the people they'll serve...that's my "core belief".  It's not about "me".  But thanks for asking......rally!

Enough with the GOPer lies about the Debt.

The results of increasing the debt continue until the debt is paid off – just like a payday loan.

When Reagan entered office the Debt was $829B and when he left it was $3,757B, and increase of $1.936 TRILLION in 8 years. That additional debt added $114Billion/year to the Deficit AND the Debt every year for the last 30 years, a total of $3.510 TRILLION in debt service alone..

Jrbush entered office with a debt of $5.807TRILLION and a budget SURPLUS of $350BILLION. Junior left us with a debt of $11.910TRILLION, an increase of $6.103TRILLION, and a budget deficit of $1.4 TRILLION, an increase of $1.9TRILLION/year. That additional debt increased the Deficit by $281Billion/year for the last 10 years, a total of $2.810TRILLION just to service the jrbush debt.. And lets not forget the two worthless wars jr lied us into that have cost around $5 TRILLION to dlae and no end in sight.

So, here's the actual history of the Debt.

$1.936 TRILLION added by Reagan 1981-1989 (incr 353%)

3.306 TRILLION added for service on the debt created by Reagan

6.103 TRILLION added by jrbush 2001-2009 (incr 109%)

2.810 TRILLION added for service on debt created by jrbush

5.000 TRILLION added by jr’s wars he lied us into

$ 19.155TRILLION Debt due to the Reagan and jrbush administrations' fiscal policies. The total debt is only $22.7Trillion, nearly 85% of which was created in TWO GOP Administrations.

President Obama entered office facing the worst economic disaster since the Great Depression (also caused by Republican tax cuts for the wealthy and deregulation of Wall Street) and the Republicans in the Senate blocked all attempts to repeal the jrbush taxscam for 2 full years base its “expiration date”. During Obama’s Presidency, the debt increased $8.538Trillion, of which $2.760Trillion came from service on Reagan and jrbush debt leaving his share of the increase $5.778Trillion or a 49%. increase.

Der Trumper has already added $2.485Trillion and at that rate he will add another $9,940Trillion.

GOPers come to the party, dump on the floor and when they leave they tell everybody the place smells. Fortunately the vast majority of Americans have caught on to what they're up to and after 2020, they won't be a problem for decades.

In addition to lying about their responsibility for the National Debt, GOPers lie about how their s**k-the-richest tax policies increase revenues. Here's the truth about that: If you adjust for inflation (something the GOPers fail to do) the total revenues to the Federal government DECREASED after the Reagan tax giveaways: -2% in 1982, -6% in 1983 and -1% in 1984. In 1985, the increase in population and economic growth began to actually increase Government revenues. For jrbush, the results of his tax policy were even more disastrous. Total revenues were -4% in 2001, -15% in 2002, -10% in 2003 and -1% in 2004. Meanwhile, the real income of the Uberrich increased by 400% since 2000 while the real income of the average American declined to the lowest level since 1964.

So true, Scout.  Some just don't "get it".  And anyone with sense knows, simply stated, you don't cut revenue when you're in debt...
