There are a lot of conservatives who do believe in climate change.  Now if you are talking about the people in power, that is a different story.

Now why do you think THAT is?  Could it be because their incredibly uninformed, uneducated base listens to Limblah and Hannity and watches FoxNews?

Well now I guess I can't take your post seriously.  You caved to the "politics" after the first post. : )

Ha! You got the point.

No,  I was taking the poster at their word...  "  I was tempted to be "caustic" when I said that, but resisted, the subject is too important to be diminished in any way by what I say about it."

Guess it was too hard to resist or not as important..  too bad.

....All ideological nonsense aside about who is or is not responsible....the climate IS changing....".

I am always responding to these kinds of postings with long, angry, answers. The climate is changing, but people do not.  People won't be inconvenienced, so little will be done to mitigate.

Water specifically --- wasted on thousands of golf courses. Anyone going to give up golf because of the tremendous waste of water? Does everyone have low-flot toilets (1.6 gpf), low flow showers, and do you make sure no one in the family has more than a 5-minute shower, or do you kid about Johnny having a half hour shower?  Are you letting your lawn go dormant in the summer, or keep it bright green when it's 90-degrees outside?

Of course not. Water will run out and it will be someone else's fault.

umbarch64--I guess it's ok to destroy the very thing we all need to live, if it means REELECTION. It is terrifying that destroying our environment and the environment of our children, grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren means nothing to the politicians who are praised for destroying water ways, air, and ozone.  I was talking said the other day, that when Hillary w

as talking about coal miners losing their jobs, most conveniently, for the sake of political gain, forgot that what she said was that the coal miners would lose their jobs as development and expansion of clean energy continued, and that these people would have to be retrained, so that they could support their families.

The quote was shortened to eliminate the fact that she was empathetic to their needs.  Now, with environmental restrictions lifted, these politicians are treated as heroes in some sectors.  So incredibly short sighted, so incredibly dangerous, so immoral.  I GUESS FOR A PRICE (REELECTION) THERE ARE STILL THOSE WHO ARE WILLING TO SELL THEIR SOULS.

Gee, I miss having a real President!!

look at what is going on in California this year for example. Just a year or so ago, severe drought, severe drought. This year way too much water and its not stopping. Classic climate change, from one extreme to another. The atmosphere is heating up, and warmer air, holds more water. Keep your umbrella handy!
