The ownership of this book is not something I would be proud of as you seem to be.

Do you really own the book?????

I would expect if you owned this book, you would have spelled the title correctly.

Yes  I do, if you think that by not reading about Hitler  is the way that we would learn as to how to avoid it from happening again. That type of ignorance is completely repelled by me. Sorry, NC but as usual you seem to take the high road and the extreme vision of your own thought. I don't agree with them About my spelling error,  so what, you knew what I was talking about didn't you. ?otherwise you would not have  responded the way you have done.

Yes it is dangerous because it lies about actual history.  Low information people will believe this lie. One question is ........... does this Congressperson actually believe this stuff or is he trying to influence his base, the trump base?  Either way it is dangerous.

Sad that it won't surprise me if some poster here defends and supports this big lie.

Brooks' emphasis on socialism in Germany appeared to be an attempt to link socialism with the Democratic Party – even though Nazis were not, in fact, socialists.

He started, "In the big lie, there is always a certain force of credibility because the broad masses of a nation are always more easily corrupted in the deeper strata of their emotional nature than consciously or voluntarily; and thus, in the primitive simplicity of their minds, they more readily fall victims to the big lie than the small lie."

It is a pity that this gentleman is not seeing what is happening in this country today. This applies most definitely to the Trump cult and its followers. more than to anyone else.

He has become the Pipe Piper of this country and so many are following without thinking to where it will lead.

INdividual  thought is something that these people don't have. they follow the script and the memo as is written for them just like the Germans followed Hittler and his policies. back then
I happen to have a first edition written in 1941 of a complete translation of Mein Kamph and it is amazing to read about his policies and what happened in Germany. I with  this gentleman would have the time to really read this book.

hitler’s book appears to be a favorite read of both trump and brooks...not surprising, they are both bigots and love hitler, and support dictatorships...no mystery here!

Vote them out

I think the lesson here is to always quote the books you know the best and read the most often.

Very offensive are his comments.

Is this surprising? To speak in support of a dictator.

It also comes right on the heels of trump wanting some of his critics being banned from appearing on the news or media shows. And wants to restart investigations on political opponents!

Sure looks authoritarian...and it is.

Oppose trump at every turn. There is nothing good about him

The ongoing absurdity that Hitler was sa socialist because of the name of the party he took over might be one of the most mindless of Republican Zombie Lies.

Hitler led a ultra-Nationalist, fascist and racist party that is very like the GOP that lil donny now leads. Donny has even suggested his follwoers will become another gaggle of Brownshirts, attacking his opponents if the criticism of the ToadPOTUS does not cease.
