I wonder if th(sic) STRIB editorial Board considers prisons to be concentration camps. After all people re placed there and kept there as  result of their actions, much like the holding areas for the border crosssers(sic).

Wonder no more rk9152.   Webster:

Concentration Camp:   A guarded compound for the confinement of political prisoners, minorities, etc., especially any of the camps established by the Nazis for the containment and persecution of prisoners.  Applied originally to camps where noncombatants were confined during the Boer war.

So you see, it seems that your "prison" question is answered, no they (prisons) are not concentration camps.        BUT, the camps established for the immigrants (minorities) fall under that definition.  Thanks for asking.

You are most welcome - they arr(sic) where they are based on their actions not based on (minorities).

According to Webster's definition, your prisons are not concentrations camps but the camps housing minority immigrants certainly are. Perhaps you should read the definition once more.

"Minority" has nothing to do with their situation.

The definition stands as written whether you choose to recognize and acklowledge it or not.

I believe the comment you want is that this crisis was created by Trump. We all see that here on the border.  It is amazing that the people who remain in the Republican party can't see it also.  Just because Trump manufactured it, does not mean it is not a manufacutred crisis.  Words mean things.

I am perpetually amuse that the ignoble donald supporters either can't or won't read.    Do they comprehend the words "by any other name", because thus far they are only complaining about the words:  concentration camp and what is actually happening on the South Texas border and due west.

The leadership of that endeavor is now on it's 4 manager, because donald can't seem to find someone with zero integrity to run his hate fueled contempt for people seeking asylum and away from the violence in their home country, that was mostly fueled by US intervention against rulers of yore.    The US installed tyrants and now if punishing those same countries for not keeping their own autocracies controllled ( yep he cut funds that dould actually help? mitigate the people leaving).

And I am constantly amused by the anti-ignobler's forgetting that discussion is made up of words - and words have meaning.

It is also amusing to see someone think it takes a lack of integrity to insure the integrity of our National borders

Funny how they weren't concentration camps when Obama was President but terminology changed when Trump got the title President.
