Holocaust Survivors Respond To Ocasio-Cortez After ‘Concentration Camp’ Comments
Part of the link...
https://dailycaller.com/2019/06/22/holocaust-survivors-ocasio-cortez-concentration-camps/
The Holocaust research center Yad Vashem criticized Ocasio-Cortez’s comments, urging her to learn about the history of concentration camps.
“Concentration camps assured a slave labor supply to help in the Nazi war effort, even as the brutality of life inside the camps helped assure the ultimate goal of ‘extermination through labor.’ Learn about concentration camps,” they said in a tweet directed at Ocasio-Cortez.
Even as criticism has mounted, Ocasio-Cortez has continued to defend the comparison, saying that detention facilities at the southern border fit within the dictionary definition of concentration camps.
==============================================
Wake up America and see what the likes of Ocasio-Cortez are doing to our country. It's scary and we have the same ignorant posters that agree with her.

Concentration Camp: A guarded compound for the confinement of political prisoners, minorities, etc., especially any of the camps established by the Nazis for the containment and persecution of prisoners. Applied originally to camps where noncombatants were confined during the Boer war.
So you see, it seems that your "prison" question is answered, no they are not concentration camps. BUT, the camps established for the immigrants (minorities) fall under that definition. Thanks for asking.
You are most welcome - they arr where they are based on their actions not based on (minorities).
No. They are where they are because of the incompetence of the Trump administration and its pervasive racism. If these people had come over from Norway we would not have a single family in a camp of any kind.
Typically you are thinking in racist terms and assigning your thinking to others.
When there are large numbers of people gaming the system that the Congress refuses to fix, they must be kept somewhere until their situation is resolved. Hence, a "concentration of people in a "place" not "camp"

Re: Concentration Camps by any other name
Call it whatever you want. How do some people justify our actions? How we house, separate, and deny fundamental needs to men, women, and children?
We are judged by how we treat the least among us. How are our actions defining ”greatness?” “Exceptionalism?”
Did you know America’s immigrant crisis is the front page on many international charity websites? I go to several regularly. Always see Yemen or Haiti or Pakistan. These days I see the US.

Concentration Camps by any other name
are still concentration camps.
Yes, we do have concentration camps.
They are not work camps. They are not death camps. At least, not on purpose. Our government is not building massive gas chambers and industrial crematoria. It is not conducting sick medical experiments on members of an unfavored class.
But that does not mean that the places into which we are herding tens of thousands of migrants, refugees and asylum-seekers are not properly called concentration camps. Because that is precisely what they are.
