Re: Capitalism - FAA Allows Boeing to Certify Safety

This may end up with a " it is all about the Benjamins".    Donald and  CEO conferred and Donald said ok...for a while.   Perhaps it was because that what both knew was that the planes that crashed were not fully equipped with all the safety devices that would have stopped the planes from crashing.

When a company says safety equipment as optional, who is responsible, especially if the supposed safety agency is part of the corporation?

FBI joins criminal probe into Boeing 737 Max 8 safety certification in wake of crashes

The FBI has joined the widening criminal probe into how Boeing's 737 Max 8 jets were deemed as safe in the months before two of them crashed in Indonesia and Ethiopia, leading to a worldwide grounding of the vaunted planes amid scrutiny of U.S. certification standards.

A person familiar with the inquiry told USA TODAY on Wednesday that the FBI is assisting federal transportation authorities in their investigation into the jet's certification process, which has come under criticism for possible cozy relationships between Boeing and FAA inspectors.

The huge loss in revenue cannot cope with the needs of an expanding population and economy, so the Republican solution has been to place "worthy" foxes in charge of their very own henhouses.

Result - we are the ONLY Nation to suffer 9,000 deaths from posion food and our industry kills tens of thousands every year with the pollution THE INDUSTRY is responsible for controlling.

Now planes fly into the ground and the ones who created the system that caused this are given the responsibility to keep it from happening?

How much lower will Americans be pushed before they push back?

Possibly a computer bug caused the crashes and not because Trump made tax cuts, Reagan made tax cuts, and none of those who pay no income taxes were the programmers!

Hey, LBJ made the JFK tax cuts and I don't recall any crashes blamed on that. But then they were Dems, weren't they.

With more than $13 billion coming in from 148 handouts,

Boeing has thoroughly entrenched itself in the interest of the government and taxpayers.

Despite the immense amount of money the company receives, it has still gone on to hold cities hostage in tax negotiations, threatening to remove jobs and open up shop in friendlier climates.

In 2013, Boeing secured the highest ever tax break at the state level when it cornered the Washington legislature into ceding to its demands, lest it move its production plants to another part of the country. The legislature granted Boeing its wish, but Boeing went on to announce drastic layoffs anyway, angering many locals.

Boeing has become the king of corporate handouts, and other corporations have a long way to go to catch up.

How did assistance to car companies, for example, cause the two crashes?

And, once again, you seem to dislike capitalism. Do you have an alternative - possibly on a separate topic.

And then something strange about border security being involved in the Boeing crashes.

Do you think it was world wide cronyism that caused the two crashes?

Not a single person on those two Boeings died of food poisoning. And to the best of my knowledge none died from "terminal taxcut".

And - neither was the computer glitch that is suspected caused by any of the above.

Finally - money. There was no imagined welfare cuts that caused the air crashes and there was no "huge loss of revenue".

So, shall we talk about the Boeing crashes or just rage about anger and resentments?
