Can liberals deal with the ISSUES without blaming president Trump?

So far... the answer is no. It does appear that liberals MUST blame someone, anyone, or something other than themselves for their failures in general. I also wonder why solutions are so hard a concept to grasp?

So the biggest failure of liberalism is the promise to diminish urban decline. The lie has always been, we need more money, while in fact.... it has always been moral decay and the failure to recognize it.

Billions of dollars have poured into the worst urban areas of Boston, Chicago, Detroit, Newark and on and on. "If there were any basis for liberals' faith in the power of big, bureaucratic programs to improve people's lives, we should see it in the form of prosperous, socially vibrant inner cities," former Sen. Dan Coats, R-Ind., and Sen. Spencer Abraham, R-Mich., wrote last year. "Unfortunately for urban Americans, no such evidence exists."

Shall we again review the insurrection act? Before invoking it, the president "must first issue a proclamation ordering the insurgents to disperse within a limited time, 10 U.S.C. § 334.4. If the situation does not resolve itself, the President may issue an executive order to send in troops,"

That is fine but trump has not invoked the insurrection act making his sending federal police into the streets of Portland illegal. Waiting for him to declare peaceful protesters as insurgents.  THAT will play very nicely on the evening news. Until he makes this proclamation, the federal police are acting illegally.  Let's have some Law and Order here people!!!

Am I detecting an underlying motive from trump supporters...are they having a tough time in trying to make up stuff to cover for or explain trump? Why are they asking for us to be nice to trump...

do they want us to act and believe like they do?

We do not support liars, misogynists, racists, supremists, or corrupt criminals...pretty simple, trump is that crooked, dishonest, vile, and cruel.
He’s to blame for all the ills of our Country...looking for Us to change our minds...nope, no way, no how!

But, I will propose a “trump deal” for you, help us vote trump out of office in November...and maybe, start discussions about how we feel about him...no guarantees, just sorta maybe...or like trump, probably not!

But, I also have an alternate proposal, help vote him out, then we can have real

talks...if you tell me the truth, I will tell you the truth, and then we can have an honest discussion.

Currently he is protecting federal property. President Trump is REQUIRED to do that via his oath of office... and local officials are in violation of theirs.

Do we need to review the oath of office too?

Federal property does not include the park across the street and blocks after that.

“I have seen civil disobedience and mild acts of civil unrest," Dr. Wolf said. "But the escalations that we have seen on a nightly basis and the unprovoked attacks from Portland Police Bureau and new federal agents who are not identified on the streets are far in excess of these small civil disobedient acts.”

Oregon State Representative Janelle Bynum agrees with the assessment that federal officers are escalating the tensions, rather then quelling them.

"Mild acts of violence". Again... in the face of destruction of property $53,000,000 so far in just Portland, using 'mild' just doesn't cut it . Shall we review Seattle too?

As usual, you have to fact check EVERYTHING posted here by Conservatives.  It was $26MM not $53MM,  that included lost revenue  and 90% came from one source. The lost revenue was a bit suspicious as that mall was already closed. Insurance fraud?

Regardless of the property damage figure, could you tell me why the federal agents are patrolling the streets?  Not their job.

https://apnews.com/15c38fc0ae0ca9326d5915b660c65fa9

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — The Portland police said earlier this week that ongoing protests had cost businesses in the downtown area $23 million in property damage and lost revenue, but those figures are skewed by just one business — a mall already shut down by statewide coronavirus closures, a newspaper reported Friday.

The Oregonian/OregonLive said the statistic came from the Portland Business Alliance, which surveyed its membership last month. Ninety-three of the 5,300 contacts who received the survey responded.

Almost 90% in reported damages and lost business came from one respondent, which reported $2.5 million in property damage and $18 million in lost sales. The newspaper says the Pioneer Place mall is the only place that could post those numbers because of its size, but it didn’t reopen until June 19 — the day after the alliance’s survey ended.

I don't play the interrogation game.... I tell you what I think and you just bash away.  The formation, history and 21st century function of NATO is well documented.

Again... what is not well documented is the US was incurring 71% of total expenditures for NATO.

Now if you have "special" information, some newly discovered function of NATO, share it and we'll discuss it in another thread that you can start. This thread is about liberals blaming everything on president Trump.

So the biggest failure of liberalism is the promise to diminish urban decline. The lie has always been, we need more money, while in fact.... it has always been moral decay and the failure to recognize it.

That's not liberalism,  that's neo-liberal economics.

Liberalism is liberty, consent of the governed, and equality under the law.

It's the core ideas of democracy.

Republican like autocrats, strong men, plutocrats.

Trump is blamed for being a liar, because he is a liar.

Trump is blamed for being a misogynist because he is a misogynist.

Trump is blamed for being a racist because he is a racist.

Trump is blamed for being a Nazi because real honest to God Nazis Sieg Heil  him.

https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2016/11/richard-spencer-speech-npi/508379/

“America was until this past generation a white country designed for ourselves and our posterity,” Spencer said. “It is our creation, it is our inheritance, and it belongs to us.”

The audience offered cheers, applause, and enthusiastic Nazi salutes.

Trump is blamed for being incompetent because he is incompetent.

Trump is blamed for putting toddlers in the docket and children in concentration camps because Trump did those things.

The fact you guys can't see that speaks volumes about you, and what you believe in, and who you are.

There's no one else to blame but the buffon running(ruining) the country. He single handedly insulted every member of NATO, re did NAFTA, began a trade war with China and embraced the Russians for personal financial gain. He has filed more bankruptcy and insurance claims as a developer than any one else. He won't release his taxes for 2 reasons: He's not as rich as he claims and #2 there's Russian business profits he's trying to keep from the public.

So tell how are we not going to blame the buffon baron of bankruptcy for the today's problems ???? His attempt to run the country like he runs his business hasn't worked. Make America Great Again really means make america great again for the Rich and Privilege.

NATO is in much better financial shape EVERYONE knows that, therefore better able to provide for their OWN defense and the USMCA is a substantial improvement over NAFTA. Always remember and never forget.... the demoncrat controlled congress approved the USMCA after on year "looking" at it and making some changes to labor provisions in Mexico.

Both BIG wins for this administration!

However the main issues are lawlessness, insurrections, decay of our cities and liberals failure to lead.

Covid is a whole 'nother matter and liberals are using covid as a political wedge. That's just wrong.

First, can you name the substantial improvements made in USMCA?

Second, do you have any idea why NATO exists and how America benefits?

I doubt you have a clue about either, but just thought I'd check.

and remember Nancy Pelosi signed off on the deal, so she approved. USMCA with bipartisan support by a vote of 385 (Democratic 193, Republican 192) to 41 (Democratic 38, Republican 2, Independent 1).

NATO's formation is no secret. What was secret was we were covering costs equal to 71% of the total.

Of course she approved.....Trump wouldn't have had a USMCA to brag about without her support. But the cost of her support was getting what Democrats wanted included. Did you know that? Lol

About NATO, you didn't answer my question which was do you know it's purpose and how America benefits? Waiting.

The economic policy of the Barack Obama administration was characterized by moderate tax increases on higher income Americans, designed to fund health care reform, reduce the federal budget deficit, and decrease income inequality. President Obama's American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 began the longest continuous period of economic growth - 127 straight months of rising GNP.

tRump the Toad's contribution during the last 42 months was the ongoing and disastrous trade war with China that bankrupted hundreds of small farmers and forever lost export markets worth billions of dollars annually, the gutting of environmental protections allowing increased levels of mercury and many carcinogens into our air and water, and halted Go0vernment support for clean energy choosing instead to push for more COAL burning and LOWER MPG requirements for America's vehicle fleet and the redistribution of $1.2TRILLION from We the People directly into the pockets of the Corporate Oligarchs.

Republicans are told this truthfulness about President Obama and their ToadPOTUS is "hateful" and unreasonably blames tRump for the things HE DID.

For honest people to stop blaming tRump, all that is needed is for tRump to stop doing blame-worthy things.

  • Along with GW Bush, President Obama saved GM and Chrysler
  • Our nation's banks were saved
  • The real estate market rebounded  from depression era levels
  • They hunted down and killed Osama Bin Laden
  • hundreds of Al Qaeda leaders were killed
  • 3/4 of ISIS forces were killed during the Obama Administration
  • Set a record for job growth
  • The unemployment rate was cut in half and 14 million jobs added
  • The value of the stock market more than tripled in value during the Obama Administration
  • Corporate profits across America set records
  • Even though the ACA was flawed, Health Insurance was changed for the better as all Americans benefit from the new changes brought by Obama
  • The crime rate was at its lowest level in years

Well, in most cases the root cause of our issues are the Regressives. Which issue would you like to discuss?  Universal health care? Stronger unions? Guaranteed minimum income/higher minimum wage? Expanded access to vote?

All liberal issues the right cannot seem to discuss without screaming "Socialism" and walking away. So, we keep moving forward on all those issues as the Regressives lose percentages of the voters.

The important point one must be aware of is who does Trump World define as a liberal. Here's the answer

  • Anyone who is opposed to the pathological lying of Trump is automatically a liberal
  • Anyone who resents Trump's horrible treatment of women is defined as a liberal.
  • .Anyone who resents Trump hiring an array of CONVICTED FELONS is deemed a liberal.
  • Anyone who respects the FBI and the Rule of Law is defined as a liberal in Trump World.
  • Anyone who believes in diversity of opinion, as in disagreeing with Trump, is automatically a liberal, because no one is allowed to disagree with him.
  • Anyone who criticizes Trump or investigates him is automatically a liberal.

You see, one must have clear definitions before you can debate.
