Of course they are protesting about what they do not like. However, such issues are dealt with at elections, not by mob action or disruption of the democratic process.

PC, please note one here in this discussion was a very ardent Tea Party supporter, and it wasn't moi.  Funny how hypocrisy can be exposed.  Conservatives didn't tell the Baggers, "Hey, issues are dealt with at elections and not by mob action." when they rallied in DC and across the country.

rk9152--the short answer

--the very vast majority of protesters are NOT bussed in-Trump fantasy

--protesters are NOT being paid--it's another Trump fantasy

----People are protesting, not because of who won, but, rather, because they are worried about a multitude of issues, including the fact that  Trump's office has colluded with the Russian's, is promising to disrupt ACA, which will leave many with no health care--just to name two

---to DENY people's real concerns and then tell them that they aren't concerned over very personal issues, but they are mad cause their guy didn't win is

PETTY ,

and, if he truly believes this,

EXTREMELY OUT OF TOUCH

-Having the young lady removed from the room because she was very respectfully voicing her concerns-marked him as a COWARD--who didn't have the internal fortitude to answer her very real concerns.

I wasn't paid, neither were 50 or so plus of the people I spoke to at the Townhall I went to paid.    There were no buses.   Now I can't be stupid enough not to think that some people did arrive to some of these demonstrations on busses because people of like mind get together and plan.    And in some cases,  yes it would be easier and less expensive for these people who may not drive to take a bus then to try to get to some of these events independently,  that's good for the environment by the way.

I don't believe that anyone is going around rounding up citizens,  knocking on their doors,  and saying" oh please, can we pay you to take part in these Townhall's or will you take part in this demonstration. We will pay you and will pay your transportation.that is ridiculous,

republican representatives are afraid of what is happening in the country,  they are afraid they are going to lose their jobs,  they are afraid of what Trump is doing,  but few have the backbone to admit it, and this is why they are afraid to tell the truth to their constituents and make up these absurd stories about people being paid or people being bussed in.

As far as Trump getting elected because of the things that he is campaigned on, you must remember that the majority of the American people did not want this man to be elected, did not want him to be our president,  and that many Republicans are now shocked by what this so-called president is doing.

And I think that's the main point,  if Trump had been elected and had managed our country in a rational, sane, responsible way, you wouldn't be seeing these protest.   Americans from both parties are protesting, not against the results of the election,  but rather the horrifying way the man who won the election is now handling the issues this country faces.

To not admit that this man rules like a dictator,  rather than the president,  to not admit his lies,  his attempts to obstruct justice,  the collusion with the Russian government -that's what is almost more horrifying then the things he has done.  this should not be about party, this should be about country.  And when we have a clear psychopath in the White House the oeople log this country has to right to stand up and do something before our country starts to suffer on all fronts. (And we have already seen that begin)

And so when Mitch McConnell makes a foolish statement like people are protesting the election results, and a young lady stands up and respectfully says,  no we are protesting healthcare, our ability to work,  this administration's collusion with Russia, and free speech-/ and subsequently escorted out of that meeting then

yes Mitch McConnel is an out of touch coward .

A very long answer that really does not deal with the basic issues:

1. Are there no organized, bussed in "demonstrations";

2. Are they no protesting the issues that he ran on and was elected on?

And how does pointing out truth make McConnell a "coward"?

But aren't those protesters being bussed in to object to the very issues that President Trump campaigned on?

In that sense, they are protesting the results of the election.

How that truth leads to, "AN OUT OF TOUCH OBSTRUCTIONIST COWARD" is a mystery.

Mitch McConnell in a town hall, offhandedly said "It's  be clear what people are protesting they're protesting because I didn't like the outcome of the election." To which a very polite young lady said, "no,  Senator, we are not protesting about the election --we are protesting over healthcare,   We are protesting over right to work, we are protesting over Russian interference in our election,   we are protesting over having to pay to come and sit before you . At that point one,  of Mitchell's goons,  along with a police officer,  escortedof the young lady out of the hall.

THIS IS THE PORTRAIT OF AN OUT OF TOUCH OBSTRUCTIONIST COWARD.

mandm84--This one is Donnie Jr.  He was the one who told his party to obstruct Obama at every turn, while Mr.Obama and his wife were dancing on the night of Mr. Obama's first inauguaration.  He is the one who told Repubs to refuse to see Merrrick Garland.  And just yesterday, this poor excuse for a human being told a group at a town hall, "Winners make policy, losers go home."  Didn't serm to dawn on him that those he represente were angry.  He laughed when questioned about Senator Elizabeth Warren, whom he silenced as she read a letter written by Coretta Scott Kingby using Rule 19, but later notoiously allowed the same letter to be read by more then one man on the same floor."

He is a racist and a bigot--I have waited for this disgusting little troll to be voted out of office for a long, long time.

Yertle and the GOPers are simply giddy with the Political Power Hillary Haters (and Cambridge Analytica) has dropped in their lap. Too bad he's STILL obstructing the welfare of the American People to push the agenda of the Oligarchs. Perchance when those folks in Kentucky realize he's taking their health insurance AND Social Security and there will be no more "coal jobs", Yertle and his gaggle can be religated to the dustbin of history as they so richly deserve.

Capitol Hill Buzz: Mitch McConnell defends obstructionism
BRUCE SCHREINER,Associated Press 16 hours ago

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is speaking up for obstructionism.
Addressing a chamber of commerce meeting in his home state of Kentucky, the Republican said Wednesday that obstruction can be OK — as long as it has a purpose.
That's different from futile obstruction, which he argues Senate Democrats are practicing to stall the formation of President Donald Trump's Cabinet.
"Look, I'm not against obstruction if you have a purpose. And I've from time to time been involved in that myself," McConnell said.
"Obstruction with a purpose is different from futile gestures. The futile gestures that are going on in the Senate right now are our Democratic friends using every tool available to slow the process down for Cabinet confirmations, but they have no chance for success."
No Democrat would dispute McConnell's acknowledgment that he's been involved in obstructionism himself, particularly regarding former President Barack Obama's Supreme Court nominee Merrick Garland, denied a hearing by McConnell for 10 months last year.
But whether obstructionism is good or bad is in the eye of the beholder, and Democrats believe their obstruction of Trump's Cabinet is not futile. Democrats say they're shedding light on the nominees' records even if they can't ultimately defeat them.
An occasional look at what Capitol Hill is talking about
