Bright Red State Voters want ACA

     Another one bites the dust!

Missouri voters on Tuesday approved Medicaid expansion to many of the state’s poorest adults, making their conservative state the second to join the Obamacare program through the ballot during the pandemic.

The Missouri ballot measure expands Medicaid to about 230,000 low-income residents at a time when the state’s safety net health care program is already experiencing an enrollment surge tied to the pandemic’s economic upheaval. The measure was supported by 53 percent of voters.

A winning streak: Missouri becomes the sixth Republican-led state where voters have defied GOP leaders to expand Medicaid, just weeks after Oklahoma voters narrowly backed the program. No state has ever voted down such a ballot initiative in recent years, underscoring the popularity of Medicaid expansion even in parts of the country hostile to Obamacare.

Their Gov. is up for re-election and he has said NO....maybe big change in store for Missouri.

To suggest that the RW is ignorant would be in bad form, but for them to get excited about Donald saying he was going to sign an XO  that required Health Insurance Companies would cover people with pre-existing conditions would possibly indicate that they really don't know that the  ACA which has been in place in this country since 2014 - yes, that is a special kind of ignorance courtesy of the GOP.

Red states are starting to realize they foolish turned down Medicaid from the ACA only because it was part of Obamacare.

Some are waking to the World outside the Republibubble, others still think President Obama believes there's 57 States. Do ya think giving them a dictionary opened to the page with "Hyperbole" defined would help? Probably not - they've had 45 months being told by Fox that tRump's English(sic) is normal for people above the age of six, and for them, Fox is Gospel.

For those benighted souls, NOTHING done by a black man in the White House will EVER be acceptable and its the same reason they think tRump is doing a good job.

Historically Red States have a lower standard of living than Blue States because the incredible bigotry of the Red States residents prevents them from approving anything that will benefit black people EVEN IF IT BENEFITS WHITE PEOPLE MORE!

Before Regressive CEOs moved American jobs to the Commie slaves of Asia and called it "Globalization", they moved them to the Red States with no Unions and no higher than the Fed minimum wage in a process dubbed "Dixiefication". The residents of Red States STILL think the process is some immutable force of Nature and NOT the insatiable greed of the Corporate Oligarchs who make the decisions to relocate jobs, so they reject any attempt to stop the practice because they have been taught to think it's impossible.

The same arguments are used by the GOPerLords to prevent Red State Regressives from accepting the need for Universal Health Care. It would require Government action, and the lofo GOPbase has been trained think that is ALWAYS doomed to fail.

Now we have tRumpvid20, killing 1,000+ Americans EVERY DAY, and no end in sight. The bright Red State and Local Governments are powerless to stop the disease BECAUSE THEY CANNOT RUN DEFICITS and no amount of State and Local taxation is going to finance the solution.

This is finally sinking in to the residents in Red, and if we can continue to point out the NECESSITY of FEDERAL Government action, and the REFUSAL of elected Republicans to take that action, we could get another 1964 election in 2020!! KEEP IT UP PROGRESSIVES - THE TRUTH WILL MAKE US ALL FREE!

Healthcare is definitely a major concern for America's voters in November. What happened to the fabulous health insurance program Trump repeatedly promised his blindly loyal followers?

America is disgusted by the manner in which Trump has handled, I should say mishandled, the Covid-19 Pandemic.

Now, now, @CriticalThinking , you know he told Chris Wallace that he'd be "signing a health care plan within two weeks, a full and complete health care plan".

Oh wait, that was three weeks ago. 🤦

OK, OK, then he said maybe he'd be signing on Sunday.

Oh wait, that was last Sunday. 😒

Send in the clown and watch his nose grow and grow. 🤡

absolutely CeeTee. I fear if re elected Trump will gut the safety net to pay for all his debt.

Seems many voters in REd States are waking up to reality.

I wouldn't bet on it. Our education system is in crises. Kids graduate college without knowing how many states there are. Ask them to name the capital of Philadelphia and they start thinking like the answer will come to them.

When I get bored in a political debate with a Trumpette, I say, "Well, who's your congressman?" Then I just walk away. Works every time. Millions of American citizens constantly vote against their own best interests.

Trump is an aperture in the fundament.

In reality, the Red States overall benefitted the most from the ACA and would have benefited even more if Medicaid had been expanded in all states.
