Re: Border walls work. Yuma sector proves it

I am still trying to figure out how the ACTING SECRETARY FOR HOMELAND SECURITY wrote an OP-ED on 1/4/2019 but she hasn't been ACTING SECRETARY FOR HOMELAND SECURITY since 12/01/2017.

It must be another case of fake news.

"Proves it"? About like putting chain link fence around a porta potty "proves" that will protect it.

You are right. The President of the United States was unable to get the government of Mexico to pay for our border security (although they are helping us by keeping some there until processed).

Rational people understand that would have been quite an accomplishment had he done it and appreciate the efforts he is making towards our border security.

We have them where they work and Trump had nothing to do with that. We are now paying millions  to Mexico for what they are doing. We are also paying millions now to CA Countries to help people stay there. Rational people know this but the far right enablers do not know or understand any of this. We all know what traits the far right enablers have.

Right - we are paying for their care, we have no choice. Intelligent right enablers understand that.

We do have a choice. The best path is to send Dictator Trump to the ash can of history along with his leaders, and enablers. There has never been an intelligent right winger in the USA. The country was formed by throwing all of the right wing of that time into the ash can of history.

Why would we need $5 billion every year to "operate" the wall. Isn't every form of wall passive not requiring any operation (sure maintenance is needed). Why would an additional 20,000 FBI agents be needed if Trump builds his wall? Do you envision FBI agents standing every 300 feet at the border with bomb sniffing dogs?

This is a brilliant idea. We already have really, really high walls around our maximum security prisons. Why are we paying for guards as well?  Just provide a small staff to oversee the kitchens and administration.  I am sure it would work AT LEAST as well as Trump's border wall.

Republicans rant about "border security" as if the only border we have is the one with Mexico.

Reality is over 70,000,000 people enter the USA each and every year, and half those here now "without papers" simply overstayed their visas.

So farm all the terrorists came by plane, but the GOPerLords want the focus to be on those who walk in from Mexico because THOSE refugees are almost entirely poor and brown, two things that really revs up the Republican base.

That $5BILLION EVERY YEAR we'd need to build, operate and maintain the Vanity Wall of Trump could give us 20,000 more FBI agents, the same number of drug/explosive sniffing dogs, and facial recognition devices at all our ports of entry. You want "secure borders" stop thinking the only threat comes from poor brown people fleeing violence.

I don't know who those farm terrorists are but as to where illegals are coming in - you're right but you missed the topic.

As to your last  comment - are you suggesting a change in our immigration law that says any poor brown person can enter without going through the process?
