Bob Dole calls out Racist Hate in DC

Mulvaney is no real christian.   He has used the excuse:  lacks evidence to document effectiveness as the excuse to kill any program that may have a positive effect on the outcome of poor people.

To that end, he has cut from the National Budget food for 40 million children in Africa.

“Eliminating the McGovern-Dole programme would have a disastrous effect on the planet’s most vulnerable children,” Dole wrote in a statement provided exclusively to The Washington Post. “Without a reliable source of nutrition, these children face a lifetime of stunted physical and mental development and unrealised opportunity. This global school meals programme remains one of the proudest achievements of my lifetime. It embodies the very best of America’s values. Saving this programme means saving lives. It’s as simple as that.”

No one can now say that the Religious Right is about Christianity and caring.    That lie has now been proven by a retire President of the United States.  http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/donald-trump-school-meals-programme-feed-40-million...

Gee...that sounds so good ... $40 Million for food aid for children in Africa.  Problem with these programs is that the aid rarely and even more sledom entirely actually goes to the stated purpose.  Much more likely the bulk of the aid goes to line the pockets and bank accounts of corrupt government officials and leaders in the receiving country with little if anything actually ending up in the hand sof those in need.

Until the US can get a full accounting of where and how, within recipient nations, that aid is actually distributed and spent, we should significantly reduce such aid.

Yeah cutting off aid until it's fixed (we all know that once it's off the table, it will be a long time in coming back)--that's a good idea

--unless it's your kid who might die in the interim period.

So sad, when money comes before the lives of other humans.

Those who oppose should be made to go to these countries or to anyplace these cuts are causing suffering and live in the conditions the immorals are forcing on others.

Makes me ashamed.

Gee, I miss having a real President!!

Tell you what, guy...how about you prevail upon 'the donald' to appoint you 'special poobah' to administer distribution of aid to all those places.  For which you get paid...oh, say 100k a year and expenses.  As a 'good Christian' would you do it?  If you leave the final accounting of assets and expenditures to me viz a viz benefits, I guarantee I'll support your candidacy.

Oh, any you become personally responsible for any shortfalls, including insufficiency of funds to do the necessay work.  "How's that",  you say?  Well,  this is about efficiency and fund raising is a part of that and salesmanship is a part of fund raising and if you don't have the money it's somebody's job to get it and that's you donchasee?  Hey....fair is fair.  And you do have an understanding boss, isn't that right?  Say yes to the nice man.

Oh, I forgot....along with that you have to calculate and attribute final economic and social upheaval costs in the benefits/losses/expenses tally so we will actually KNOW what it costs IN THE LONG RUN if we do as the RRR would have us do.  Betcha can't do that.  Betcha won't do the primary job either.

Oh, you gotta raise the money to put down all the uprisings too.  Sorry about all the little added duties that got tacked on with no increase in staff to do the job....more efficient that way, don't you agree?

Put your money where your mouth is.

It sounds like you believe another made up "fact" that around 70% of the aid dollars are diverted due to corruption.  While aid is diverted the actual numbers are under 10% (probably under 5%).  We can debate at what point something should be stopped due to corruption, but your statements that "the aid rarely" and "Much more likely the bulk of the aid goes to line the pockets" are simply false,.
