But blaming a Few Welfare Cheats is a Cop Out IMHO. The Insanely Wealthy should know better and be thankful to live in such a Great Nation.

When I was in college, I had a Finance professor who loved to point out how much money we spent trying to police welfare cheats. He also pointed out how often the people we would label as cheats knew how to get around the system where the honest folks would lose benefits because they did not. His idea was a guaranteed minimum income for every American If some able bodied loser was willing to live on that stipend, let them.  We would save billions by eliminating all that bureaucracy.

Your finance professor should have got an F- when in college. He obviously is a Democrat.

I can't speak for his politics but HE has a PHD in finance. I take it you prefer the huge bureaucracy?

I much prefer hard work and education to get ahead yet the Democrats want more government. Hey, isn't that called bueraucracy?

As regards Bernie being "found out" as a millionaire, I am always amazed when the Conservatives are scandalized should someone not born of money actually earns it. They will have no truck with the free enterprise system.

We found out that he is a millionaire that gives very little to charity (cheapskate).

We found out why he is a Socialist....and why the "something for nothing" crowd likes his dream programs...they are not going to be free to most.

We "found out" that Bernie is honest enough to release his taxes.

We "found out" that trump is so dishonest he is afraid to release his taxes.

We "found out" that trump is a white supremacist Fascist, that refuses to denounce the White Supremacist White Nationalist KKK.

We "found out" that trump and is spending as much per month on golf vacations as Obama spent per year on vacations without the slightest peep out of you.

Rational intelligent people know that Bernie has not proposed anything "for nothing".

Rational intelligent people also know that a Universal health care plan is not "Socialist" .

Rational intelligent people know that a Universal Health Care Plan would cost taxpayers a 2% tax. A family earning $100 K per year would pay $2000 per year for full health care for their families ...... a fraction of what they pay for a health care policy with far less coverage..  There would be a 6% tax on corporations and business, far less over all than most pay for contributing to their employees health care. Of course, math and number easily confuse many trump supporters.

It was  a telling point in the town hall when the Fox News moderator asked for a show of hands for who had employer paid health care. Then the same number of hands for who would turn their health care over to Bernie's proposal. The non-wealthy are starting to understand.

Get politics out of the science. Get politics out of the science.

Science is is the only existing proved factual description of the real world.

Politics is how people would like to run everyone else's lives - and gain advantage over others while running their lives...

Religion is not provably real - it's believing what is unquestionably not capable of being proved to be real in this time-space continuum.

It doesn't matter how strongly one believes - belief will not cause a grape to become a watermelon - nor will it cause tRump to be truthful and honorable...

Only science accurately describes the real world.

If one is sane, rational and logical - science will be used to drive political decisions...

IF one is sane, rational and logical - one will never allow religion in or anywhere near politics - at all - ever!

As far as tRump and his anti-Islamic stuff - he's an ignorant lying bleeping moron - the whole world is aware that as of about 610 AD - Jews, Christians and Muslims ALL have always worshipped the very same God.

That flawed humans have made mistakes and have gotten the stories wrong and messed-up in the Torah, in the New Testament, and the Koran, is clearly par for the course with H. Sapiens - a species that genetic sequencing irrefutably proves is the latest mutation in the line of apes - chimpanzees - and, most recently - H.Sapiens...

then how do we fix the climate. I am all ears.

First we have to know the problem in absolutes. No political talking points, but provable, definable, measurable values. Not in the last 100 years or last 1000 years but since the last Pleistocene

I've outlined the "normal" path to renewables, but the left wants it all and wants it now.

Ain't happening.

Ah. that part is easy. Every study of climate change shows that the anticipated effects of pumping millions of tons of greenhouse gasses have caused the climate to react exactly as predicted. The greatest change in global temperatures since the dinosaur killer hit us and all within the last 100 years.  That is the absolute.

The use of renewables assumes that we want to be able to inhabit this planet. If not, take your time.
